We definitely spent some time here at the Bishop's House pool. There was also a gym and a spa area in the building behind. They staff even brought in the best barber from the village to give me a one and a half hour haircut in one of the rooms here.

The ultimate in customer service and hospitality. When we came back from our muddy gorilla trek, the staff of the Bishop's House sat us down, took off our shoes and socks, and even gave a little foot massage, before slipping on sandals and ushering us in. Our shoes and socks were returned later, dry and clean.

The entire staff came out to introduce themselves to us.
A tasty treat welcomed us into our rooms. It was another very nice touch of hospitality.
We had meals here, inside in front of the fireplace. We also dined al fresco by the pool when the weather cooperated. The chef prepared meals were some of the best we had all trip.
The huge doorways and vaulted ceilings were quite impressive.
Over 95% of Rwanda is cultivated. Every hilltop is covered in terraced farms. This hilltop is covered by the capital city of Kigali.
Even the common areas are just amazing.
My kind of spread. Our breakfast were buffet style, with a chef making omlettes and pouring delicious lattes.
Dining al fresco at the Bishop's House.
I think I'll be back here again.

It is really a lovely view you had there. The whole environment is encapsulated with beauty.
Great seeing a bit of Rwanda, it looks like you had a fabulous stay! The Bishop’s House looks very charming! I've heard such positive things about how clean the country is, in more ways than one, with a good president wiping out corruption as well. A relative and her family moved to Kigali a couple of years ago. They're loving it there.
Lovely post @dtam!
