Oops & Actifit July 17 2025
Oops indeed, after multiple hot days in a row, the rain came. In my town it wasn't too bad, but in the surrounding areas it looks a bit scary, mainly near the main river and the bridges that cross it.

Wow, very scary my friend!😳
I have seen bridges like that completely collapse from flooding waters !
I would stay far, far away, until the water recedes!🤔
Taking into account that most of them are old I wouldn't be surprised.
Years ago, I was building a house and had to cross over a temporary bridge.
I decided to take a different route to the construction side. Later on that day that bridge collapsed from floodwater killing many people in cars that plummeted to the river below.!🙄
Ouch, temporary bridge and floodwater dont sound well put together.
It was very poor construction!🙄
They drove wood pylons into the river, put a single lane railroad tie bridge on top and black topped it. Then they put a stoplight on either side so only one lane a traffic could go at a time each direction.
That year when the river flooded logs came down the river and took everything out, including the cars on top!
we've got the rain too... last night
don't about the rivers...
yours seem to be floody
maybe that is balanced
If it rains locally, that's not a big problem, but there's lots of water coming down from the mountains nearby, that's why the volume increases so much.
ahh we've had the the same problem over the last years...
whole forests got cut down and mountains can't hold water with the roots of the trees
whole bridges were destroyed at places...
when the water splashes down..
Do you still have any forests left? :)
oh yes... plenty :)

You would not catch me anywhere near or on that bridge!
Suffice it to say that some years ago, I went across a bridge. That evening, my husband and children would have been on it but chose another route. About an hour after I had crossed it, it went down under a swollen river, looking much like your pictures. Unfortunately, there were some fatalities for there were cars on it when it went. The Navy SEALS could not even dive for the the victims bodies because the current was too strong. One man sat by the river for two weeks because his wife was one of the victims.
A sad but true story. Be careful my friend!
Goo0d job with your 6380 @actifit steps for the day. Take care!
Too sad, some people are just not aware enough of the dangers of a situation.
It was; and is. Nature can be excessively unforgiving. Take care!
