Weekend Market Run – A Saturday Adventure
Greetings everyone.
We were running out of foodstuffs lately. Turns out, I've been devouring a lot since my arrival that I didn't notice two weeks had just gone by.
I was sent to the market alongside my brother just to get a few foodstuffs. My mum said she'd get other things from Ogun State since she was going there and would be able to branch at their local market, where some things she targets are relatively cheaper.

Our first deal of the adventure was to get garri, otherwise known as cassava flakes. We used the market's back gate since that's where we can find the best (our preference), compared to the front. We had to look through the different ones presented by the merchants in front of us, and perhaps the most expensive one was the finest 😩 so we had to go for that.

We were on our way to get some eggs, but my bro was like, "Where is the groundnut to eat the garri?" 😂 We got groundnuts and moved on to the next stop.

The market is always buzzing with people every market day, and it's not just people from Morojoda alone who come there—people from Epe, Eredo, down to other places. Garri is what makes this place popular, and most people prefer to get things from here and resell in the other markets. The market here seems to have access to people coming from Ibadan and other places to sell their wares, and it's always best to come early in the morning; if not, you will only meet those who are reselling what they bought from the travellers.

It was nice strolling around on a Saturday, and I guess I like visiting the market (although some of the prices are enough to give me a heart attack when I think about how much I earn 😩💔).

It's been a nice and refreshing weekend even though I didn't get to visit fancy places—just somewhere that felt like an adventure (maybe it's 'cause I love joking with traders 😂 (+1 gossip stat)).
Thanks for your time ❤️❤️
