What better way to kick off some sublime excitement and fun, than on #SublimeSunday with @c0ff33a! heheeh And to celebrate our collaboration with @pinmapple, I thought it would be fun to give you a little game trying to PIN down my EXACT location. Now, here is the thing, in order to do it - you're going to have to get clues every day - keep track of them, and then be ready for the FINAL QUESTION next Sunday in order to be the FIRST to give my EXACT location.

Now don't fear - and don't fret!

I'm going to give you lots of clues - and you might think HOW am I supposed to track her down with these clues!?!? But - I'm going to give you MORE AND MORE details everyday how to weave them together to find me. AND... you can use Google! hehe (and I would suggest that you do use Google! It will help!) hehehe

And if NO ONE guesses right? well, I'll just have to award SOMEONE the prize - cuz I don't like prizes to go unclaimed!

AND VERY IMPORTANT (and perhaps a little clue too???) I'm not ALWAYS guaranteed to be able to have enough internet rthis week to publish a post with a daily clue. I THINK I should be fine - but - JUST IN CASE I CAN'T - Don't worry! You'll have enough by the time I ask the final question on Sunday to render your guess!!!

To begin, I'm going to share how I STARTED our journey - YESTERDAY!!!

(YEP, THAT'S RIGHT - I'M ALREADY ON THE MOVE - SO.... START KEEPING TRACK!)

UPDATE:

WELL... in order to make sure I could get all my blogs done and scheduled, I needed to write my Sunday post partially ON Saturday with the plans that were SUPPOSED to happen!

And you know when you plan for things, MURPHY just comes along and decides to change it all for the fun of it!

SO.. I will start with our plans the way they were intended..and then you will see a SLIGHT teeny weeny Itty bitty update to it all!!!

We began driving down our mountain...

and seeing ALL the flowers popping up from the rains!!! Its California golden poppy season!!!!!!

And where there is beauty and positivity, there is always a little danger and negativity close behind. Check out what it looks like when the ground slides right off the mountain! This is a little mini mudslide looks like!

... and heading to our FAVORITE little roadstop breakfast place to eat in Bakersfield. It's become a tradition for us to eat here whenever we go on a trip! I used to make special breakfast sandwiches that everyone loved- but one day - we stopped here- and history was made! hehe We always get the SAME thing - my daughter gets chilequiles, I get a breakfast bowl with bacon, and the boys MUST get the ghost pepper chile sauce! (they're crazy!) Mr. Chef here LOVES when we come here! When he sees us walk kn, he stops what he's doing and comes over to give us hugs and love! Its awesome! hehehe

We also always get snacks whike we are waiting for our food... and today I was in a mood for SPICY 🔥 Have you ever had any of these??? and if so... which is your fave? hehehe

And then of course we had to giggle a little when we saw these...lol

Next, we drove through the Grapevine, and that was definitely something we were worried about! With all the rain, and with how flat this area is - there was a TON of flooding and closed roads. This is the ONLY way that we could get to LAX - so it definitely had us a bit nervous.

We were heading up THE GRAPEVINE, and I have to say, as we were going up I thought.... here is where it can all go pear shaped so very quickly.

Not 60 seconds later, CLANK RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE....

Followed by every light on the dashboard coming on.

GRAPEVINE!!!! YE have taken another victim?!?!?!

You know, when you're at the end of your rope and completely at the mercy and grace of God, there is something a little hysterical about that.

I mean...truly, everyone goes a little bit nutty lol

After we exhausted all our options, looked up Uber, (WAY too expensive -we are in the middle of nowhere), AAA towing on the way, not one rental car place within miles... all we could do was wait and ... laugh lol

Mikey jumped out of the car and started playing guitar! The rest of regaled tales of our plethora of car adventures!!! Lol

The boys lifted up the hood, saw the problem... but didn't know how it happened.

I got bored and went out to look too. Cuz . Ya know. Why not? Lol I don't know everything about cars but I have good eyes!!

And wouldn't you know it?!?!?

THE MISSING PART WAS RIGHT THERE!!!

I called Joe over to see... he grabbed it and sure enough!!! It was the part!!! Now at least we had the PART! Sydney was ecstatic and ....silly lololol

But then.... 5 hours of....hell. Honestly, there are some people in this world that astound me with their lack of integrity, and their absolute vicious behavior. They twist compassion and lure you with offers of help only to dangle increasingly devious options in your most desperate and vulnerable times. Believe me when I tell you, pray you do not ever need a tow in the Grapevine, friends. It is shark territory, and your request for assistance jumpstarts the feeding frenzy!

and right when we thought we were out of all options.....

angels arrived!!!

Our friends came and swooped down like gifts from heaven and gave us their truck to take us the rest of the way and borrow it until our trip is over ... 🤗🥰😍💕

Life is so much harder without friends. Im so so thankful for people who love us and come to our rescue. I am tempted to tell you about the horrible things that happened in the last 5 hours but you know what??? We are on our way to vacation and it all goes UP from here, right????

Now that we're rescued and happy - it's time to head to the airport where we FINALLY catch our overnight flight to.....

MIAMI.

That's our FIRST OFFICIAL STOP... so make sure that you put that down in your Travel Log with all your clues you collect! hehehe
