The Ferris Wheel (London Eye) - Miniature Model
The Ferris Wheel named after its inventor, George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., is an amusement ride not uncommon in most amusement parks.
The London Eye (Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel) is a type of Ferris wheel, known for its high rate of tourist visits.
I haven't been there but I was opportuned to see a miniature model in my boss' office and it fascinated me. The model was hinged to a hourglass with some white fine crystals in it.
I couldn't resist taking some shots of it. Unfortunately I only had a Redmi 9 smartphone in hand. I had never really used it for serious photography and decided to give it a shot.
I thought using the macro feature would bring out some more perspective, though it was only 5 megapixels.
For a smartphone whose main camera sensor is just 1/3.1" and with a pixel count of 13mp, you can probably guess how the shots might turn out
I took the shots anyway and edited them on the same smartphone.
I really think they somewhat look good:
(F/2.4, SS 1/14, ISO 1047, 1.94mm)
(F/2.4, SS 1/20, ISO 852, 1.94mm)
(F/2.4, SS 1/25, ISO 751, 1.94mm)
(F/2.4, SS 1/25, ISO 786, 1.94mm)
What do you think?
For context, this is the full size taken on a Samsung Note 10 Plus unedited
