A BRIDE AND MORE - A MODELLING SHOOT✨️
Videography and visual story-telling are 2 things I would live tp be able to do on a professional level.
I have had a a fair share of experience hands-on with videography over time, though I'm still green and learning.
Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I latch on it and find ways to tell stories with what I have.
Last month, a friend of mine, @omoajok invited for a collaborative videoshoot with a make-up artist, Bid Beauty and a model.
We used More Miracles studio in Ibadan, Nigeria for the shoot.
I had a wedding shoot that same morning with @omoajok, which took quite some time to get done with so it took quite a while to arrive at the studio.
The make-up artist was already almost halfway done with her work, but I still managaed to get some shots.
Then I covered the work of @omoajok in styling the hair.
The video shows a sort of broll/cinematic rendering of the process of makeup in 5 minutes.
It highlights the various parts of the process and shows what creative skill from two beauty artists can do... and of course what a good videographer😉 can do to bring out the best from it!

I do photography and videography almost anytime I'm not seeing patients or making music in my small studio.
Okay. I'm planning to create and build a YouTube channel. Started my research this week and learning about videography is one of the things I have on my to-do so it will be easier to pick the right gigs when I'm ready to buy equipments and set-up the channel.
I don't know how often you have time for this side of what you do. I really like to learn about videography.
Well. I actually manage YouTube channels. Currently actively managing SkinAndAll channel.
I have helped with a few others too. I'm actually working on a YouTube course that dwells on using available equipment to create videos and run a channel.
Not sure when I might finish up on that.
I'm trying to bring it to threespeak too, but there are uploading and encoding problems I usually run into.
Asides my gear which I recently upgraded a little, I hardly ever use any high faluting equipment or methods.
The videos in the above channel were predominantly shot on mobile phones actually.
The best skill for a videographer is knowing how to present a story. And even those with the best gear still keep learning that.
I just checked the channel. It's amazing that these shots were taken with phone. Haha. Nice one.
The main channel I will be launching is a Tvshows reaction channel. For that, multiple gadget is needed and a very decent mic.
It's a complex niche out there on YouTube. I will be in touch with you for further discussion about videography and co.

Yeah, the hairstyle looks good, and you did a great job with the photography. Something tells me that at some point, the bride or model was shy hhehe
So how long did the videography take? You got in there when the makeup artist was almost done, were you given extra time to do your thing?

Well the videography took as long as the hairstylist took to finish her work... I followed her through the process. So it took a few hours.
I wasn't able to capture the makeup artist's work from scratch unfortunately because of a previous shoot I went for that spilled over time.
I also took the pictures concurrently.
There was also a photophographer who took more dedicated shots that highlighted the model as a whole. I could share when he's done editing.
I tried to capture as much as I could with the time I had available.
Opor AY! Very crisp video. I love how it was exposed and coloured for her skin tone. She looks gorgeous!
I loved the reverse shots as well. The broad lighting added another level to the shoot. Keep up the good work! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
