RE: Gone Fishing - Lily's Last Holiday

I'm not really fond of memories to be honest... I gather tones of old paper photos from analogic cameras in the drawers and I barely come to check them. It's curious since I used (when young) to stare at them along with my family, mainly my mom and sister, both aren't here anymore, more than 20 years passed already...
I prefer focusing on the present, on what I'm doing just now to not miss an instant if possible. However, someone made it to find a pic from a fishing day I spent with both of them and a friend at the river in a spot I used to go frequently with my dogs. He put it on the fridge and for any reason it's still there. From time to time I look at the picture and I can feel perfectly that momment since I was the one behind the camera... I see their admiration glance on their faces, it was me unveiling my hidden spot and skills on nature (at least they thought that way). I then send them a kiss touching the paper and coming again to my stuff.

That's all with old photos, I even rarely visit the ones I keep on Google photos or hard drives unless I'm making a post as I don't like using third part pics.

I enjoyed as always the reading, for any strange reason I can find the point on others memories so thanks so much for sharing them with us. Sending you hugs Lizz 🤗

Thank you so much @drakernoise, I really appreciate your comments & support.
I understand where you're coming from, we need to appreciate life each day or we could miss special moments. There's much joy to be found in little things around us.
But it's still awesome to enjoy sharing happy memories, not dwell on them too much but like you say you touch the photo, I find myself doing that with special photos of my mom who passed away end Jan.
I'm so sorry that you lost your mom & sister such a long time already, she must have been very young💔
Anyway, enjoy the rest of your Thursday & take out that fishing rod again if you can😉

The conversation made me think I haven't the mentioned photo digitally saved sonI did It on the fly to share It with you.... You can see the magnets, sry

The quality is not good but I think you will be able to see the mentioned expression on their faces.

That's a very special memory @drakernoise, thank you so much for sharing that. It looks so mysterious and almost like a painting at first glance, until one looks closer.🤗

I forgot to tell you that my mom and sister are on the right, the girl on the left was a friend.
