A Wednesday Stroll Through Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands – The World's Largest Garden
My visit to Amsterdam wouldn't have been complete without visiting the tulip gardens. Today is Wednesday, and I decided to take a walk through the Keukenhof Botanical Gardens, located 40 kilometers from Amsterdam in the Lisse region. I booked the ticket through social media as it was the only option.I hope that many of you have been here, but for those who haven't, I will write that it was founded in 1949 on the estate of an old castle from the 15th century, and it covers 32 hectares.Over 7 million flowers were planted. tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and is open 8 weeks a year while the flowers are in bloom. I was lucky enough to be in the Netherlands during that period.Walking along the manicured paths, I saw endless rows of perfectly arranged flowers. There were fiery reds, bright yellows, soft pinks and deep, almost black purple tulips. Some were classically shaped, while others had ruffled petals.

What fascinated me the most was the incredible variety of tulips I saw I came across the so-called "parrot tulips", whose petals were wrinkled, ragged at the edges and dotted with green and yellow stripes, irresistibly reminiscent of the exotic feathers of tropical birds. I also saw double-flowered tulips, which looked more like peonies or roses than traditional tulips because of the hundreds of densely packed petals. Special attention was drawn to tulips with sharp, pointed petals that spread outward like stars, as well as the famous "Queen of the Night" variety - tulips so dark, deep purple that they looked completely black in the light

People from all over the world were around me. The path led me to a wooden windmill. It had just started to rain, so I quickened my pace a little.Towards the end of the walk, I visited one of the enclosed pavilions where Dutch growers were displaying their newest and rarest hybrids. Inside, the air was even richer with fragrance, and the floral arrangements resembled true works of art.

I started back on another path, otherwise I didn't mention it to you, the lily path is 15 kilometers long. So now see if you can do all the tours in one day. Of course if you rent a bike right at the entrance. My walk is over and I am fascinated by what I saw. For me, this is the most beautiful garden in the world, even more beautiful than the one I saw in Dubai.

An experience full of color. I've never seen so many different kinds of tulips.
That’s only part of it; it was raining, and I didn't manage to cover the full 15 km.
We'll have to wait for another trip.😅🌞
