El sábado por la tarde, mientras mi hijo y yo estábamos en el cumpleaños de una amiguita, en casa, la magia de la Navidad comenzaba a llegar, sin imaginárnoslo. Por la mañana, antes de salir de casa, comencé a sacar las decoraciones navideñas, incluyendo el pequeño arbolito de mesa; dejamos todo en la sala, con la esperanza de seguir decorando al llegar de la fiesta.

Pero al llegar a casa, nos encontramos una sorpresa maravillosa, que nos dejó muy emocionados y felices; encontramos un árbol de Navidad mucho más grande sobre la mesa. Mi hijo estaba muy feliz y yo también; tener un árbol de Navidad más grande era una de las metas para este 2025, pero la situación económica no ha sido favorable, así que desistí de la idea, pero la vida suele sorprenderte y cuando deseas tanto algo, de una manera se nos concede.

Este árbol que les muestro, nos lo enviaron de Barinas y pertenecía a los abuelos paternos de mi niño, que partieron de este mundo hace 5 años. Así que es un regalo muy especial para mi hijo y mi esposo, porque es un recuerdo de su abuelo que desafortunadamente no pudo conocer en persona.

Inmediatamente, comenzamos a ver los adornos que tenía y mi niño no perdió tiempo en ir colocándole cositas, pero tuve que quitarlas para limpiarlo y agregar las luces; afortunadamente, tenía guardadas unas luces de gala y con eso iluminamos el arbolito. Al día siguiente seguimos colocando los adornos, la mayoría rojos y algunos accesorios dorados.

Quería que el árbol tuviese algo que representara la infancia de mi hijo, así que nos fuimos a Pinterest y elegimos varios dinosaurios navideños, ya que mi hijo es fanático del mundo jurásico, los cuales pegué sobre un papel brillante rojo que tenía guardado.

Y así quedó nuestro arbolito; nos falta el pie de árbol y la estrella en la punta. La parte trasera no tiene muchos adornos, pero poco a poco se irá llenando de cositas. Nos encantó el resultado y ahora estamos listos para seguir decorando y preparar la casa para estas fechas especiales.

On Saturday afternoon, while my son and I were at a friend's birthday party, at home, the magic of Christmas was beginning to arrive, without us realizing it. In the morning, before leaving the house, I started to take out the Christmas decorations, including the little table tree; we left everything in the living room, hoping to continue decorating when we got back from the party.

But when we got home, we found a wonderful surprise that left us very excited and happy; we found a much larger Christmas tree on the table. My son was very happy, and so was I. Having a bigger Christmas tree was one of our goals for 2025, but the economic situation has not been favorable, so I gave up on the idea. However, life often surprises you, and when you want something so badly, it is granted to us in some way.

This tree I'm showing you was sent to us from Barinas and belonged to my son's paternal grandparents, who passed away five years ago. So it's a very special gift for my son and my husband, because it's a memento of his grandfather, whom he unfortunately never got to meet in person.

We immediately began to look at the decorations it had, and my son wasted no time in putting little things on it, but I had to take them off to clean it and add the lights. Fortunately, I had some festive lights stored away, and we used those to light up the little tree. The next day, we continued putting up the decorations, most of them red and some gold accessories.

I wanted the tree to have something that represented my son's childhood, so we went to Pinterest and chose several Christmas dinosaurs, since my son is a fan of the Jurassic world. I stuck them onto some shiny red paper that I had saved.

And that's how our little tree turned out; we still need the tree stand and the star for the top. The back doesn't have many decorations, but little by little it will fill up with little things. We love the result and now we're ready to continue decorating and getting the house ready for this special time of year.
