My passion for collecting phone cards Eng-Esp

Ever since I was a child I have had a penchant for collecting cards. Among other things, I think part of my childhood was at a time when commercial marketing was focused on giving little collectible gifts in the form of toys or cards on most products. What a great time to be a kid. I loved, or rather, I love phone cards and my uncles and brothers knew exactly how to make me happy, just by gifting me their cards. Once they would run out of credit.

I had a lot of them, I don't remember how many, but there were too many. Some complete sets, some not, and many repeats, ideal for trading with other fans. But suddenly they disappeared from the box in which I had them stored, they only left me a small part. I know who it was, but it's not worth it anymore, how can they steal something like that from an innocent girl? The truth is, it hurt too much and for too long.

However, that didn't stop me from continuing to accumulate these cards, a hobby I still have, although now it is much more difficult, since they stopped coming out in the market a long time ago. But as they say, what they take away from you in life, somehow we will receive it back and duplicated, fortunately so it was, when I met my husband, he had a huge collection of cards in his room, which were not exactly his but his brother's, who already departed from this world, so we joined the two collections and now they have a much more special meaning and a huge sentimental value.

I have a project in mind which is to sort them by series and categories and thus find out how many series or editions we completed. Maybe, it will take me a while to do it, as I currently have little free time, but I am sure I will do it and of course I will tell you about it.

My favorites are the ones related to architecture. If you take a look at my blog, you know that I love the world of construction. And that I am a nature lover, if I had the joy of traveling the world, I would collect postcards and travel souvenirs. Among my collection I have several flags of the world, but they are very scattered; ordering them is becoming an urgency.

The nice thing about these calling cards is that they are made of a sturdy material and the printing holds up very well over time. This is one of my favorite series, and it is complete. I have 4/4, it's called walking on the right foot and it was an ad campaign for children's day. The illustrations are amazing. So sent many compliments to the author of the drawings “Mauricio Anterí” as he points out on the back of the card.

Another collection that I love is the “let's read a story” collection, which consists of the cover of children's stories.

I have no idea how many collectible series of cards were released, but the variety of themes is enormous. These cards of historical events in Venezuela are incredible, I know I have many more of this type. Here we see images of the Liberator, when he was sick, the signing of the independence, the battle of Carabobo and much more of Venezuelan history.

I hope you like my little collection of phone cards as much as I do. It has been a pleasure to share for the first time in this community and I hope you find all the pieces of those objects that you like so much to collect.

Desde niña he sentido una afición por coleccionar tarjetas. Entre otras cosas, creo que una parte de mi infancia se dio en un momento en que el marketing comercial estaba enfocado en dar pequeños regalitos coleccionables en forma de juguetes o tarjetas en la mayoría de los productos. Qué buen momento para ser una niña. A mí me encantaban, o mejor dicho, me encantan las tarjetas telefónicas y mis tíos y hermanos sabían perfectamente cómo hacerme feliz, con solo obsequiarme sus tarjetas. Una vez les agotarán el saldo.

Tenía un montón de ellas, no recuerdo cuántas, pero eran demasiadas. Algunas series completas, otras no y muchas repetidas, ideales para intercambiar con otros aficionados. Pero de repente desaparecieron de la caja en que las tenía guardadas, solo me dejaron una pequeña parte. Sé quién fue, pero ya no vale la pena. ¿Cómo pueden robarle algo así a una inocente niña? Lo cierto es, que dolió demasiado y por mucho tiempo.

Sin embargo, eso no me detuvo para seguir acumulando estas tarjetas, un pasatiempo que aún tengo, aunque ahora es mucho más difícil, ya que dejaron de salir al mercado hace mucho tiempo. Pero como dicen por ahí, lo que te quitan en la vida, de alguna manera lo recibiremos de nuevo y duplicado, afortunadamente así fue, cuando conocí a mi esposo, él tenía una enorme colección de tarjetas en su cuarto, que no eran de él exactamente sino de su hermano, quien ya partió de este mundo, así que unimos las dos colecciones y ahora tienen un significado mucho más especial y un valor sentimental enorme.

Tengo un proyecto en mente que es ordenarlas por series y categorías y así descubrir cuántas series o ediciones completamos. Tal vez, me lleve un tiempo hacerlo, ya que actualmente tengo poco tiempo libre, pero estoy segura de que lo haré y por supuesto les iré contando.

Mis favoritas son las que están relacionadas con la arquitectura. Si le dan un vistazo a mi blog, saben que me encanta el mundo de la construcción. Y que soy amante de la naturaleza, si tuviese la dicha de recorrer el mundo, coleccionaría postales y recuerdos de viaje. Entre mi colección tengo varías banderas del mundo, pero están muy dispersas; ordenarlas se está convirtiendo ya en una urgencia.

Lo bueno de estas tarjetas telefónicas es que son de un material resistente y la impresión se conserva muy bien con el tiempo. Esta es una de mis series favoritas, y está completa. Tengo 4/4, se llama caminar con buen pie y era una campaña publicitaria para el día del niño. Las ilustraciones son increíbles. Así que le envió muchos halagos al autor de los dibujos "Mauricio Anterí" como lo señala en el dorso de la tarjeta.

Otra colección que me encanta es la de "vamos a leer un cuento", que consiste en la carátula de cuentos infantiles.

No tengo idea de cuántas series coleccionables de tarjetas salieron al mercado, pero la variedad de temas es enorme. Estas tarjetas de hechos históricos en Venezuela, están increíbles, sé que de este tipo tengo muchas más. Aquí apreciamos imágenes del Libertador, cuando estaba enfermo, de la firma de la independencia, de la batalla de Carabobo y mucho más de la historia venezolana.
