Hello, Hello dear community of Architecture and Design, today I am happy to share with you a little more of my land. This time, I want you to know a small shopping center called Matriz Plaza, it is located in the central area of the city of Ejido, the city where I live, Campo Elias Municipality in the State of Merida.

A couple of days ago I was paying the internet service in one of the offices of this beautiful shopping center, while I was waiting, I took advantage of the solitude and tranquility of the morning, to walk around the building and take some pictures.

Hola, Hola querida comunidad de Arquitectura y Diseño, hoy estoy feliz de compartir con ustedes un poco más de mi tierra. Esta vez, quiero que conozcan un pequeño Centro Comercial llamado Matriz Plaza, está ubicado en el Casco Central de la Ciudad de Ejido, ciudad en la que vivo, Municipio Campo Elias del Estado Mérida.

Hace un par de días me encontraba pagando el servicio de internet en una de las oficinas de este bonito Centro Comercial, mientras esperaba, aproveche la soledad y la tranquilidad de la mañana, para recorrer el edificio y tomar algunas fotografías.

This is one of the first shopping malls in this town, it has three floors, and its floor plan is elongated, I have always been struck by the openings that are on each mezzanine, which allow us to have a complete view of the other floors and through them the mall receives natural light through a skylight of a material that seems to be plastic.

There are two of these openings, separated by the core of concrete stairs, this mall does not have an elevator, but in reality it is not necessary, since the stairs have landings in the middle of each flight, it is very comfortable to walk through them.

Each of these areas are protected by aluminum railings and half wall with curved shapes, I love the green color of this area, because it creates a visual harmony that makes it more striking.

Este es uno de los primeros Centros comerciales de esta población, consta de tres pisos, y su planta es alargada, siempre me ha llamado la atención los vanos que se encuentran en cada entrepiso, que nos permiten tener una visual completa de las demás plantas y a través de ellos el Centro Comercial recibe luz natural, por medio de una claraboya de un material que parece ser plástico.

Existen dos vanos de estos, separados por el núcleo de escaleras de concreto, este centro comercial, no cuenta con ascensor, pero en realidad no hace falta, ya que las escaleras cuentan con descansos a mitad de cada tramo, es muy cómodo transitar por ellas.

Cada una de estas áreas, están protegidas por barandas de aluminio y media pared con formas curvas, adoro el color verde de esta zona, porque crea una armonía visual que hace que sea más llamativo.

The entire floor is terracotta-colored, with beautiful geometric ornaments. The stores are separated by wide and comfortable corridors, where we find some shops with beautiful circular designs and glass showcases.

Todo el piso es de color terracota, con adornos geométricos hermosos. Las tiendas están separadas por pasillos amplios y cómodos, donde encontramos algunas locales con bonitos diseños circulares y vitrinas de vidrio.

Some of the stores are for sale or rent, take the opportunity to take some pictures, so you can have an idea of the interior of each of the stores, as you can see, they have enough space and their shape is perfect to create an eye-catching decoration.

Algunos de los locales se encuentran en venta o alquiler, aproveche de tomar algunas fotografías, para que tengan una idea del interior de cada una de las tiendas, como ven, tienen suficiente espacio y su forma, es perfecta para crear una decoración llamativa.

Its structure is arcaded with concrete columns and beams and on the top floor we can see that part of the roof has tongue and groove and tile and another part has red sheets, with details similar to tile, which seem plastic or synthetic.

Su estructura es porticada con columnas y vigas de concreto y en la última planta podemos ver que una parte del techo tiene machihembrado y teja y otra parte unas láminas rojas, con detalles parecido a la teja, que parecen plásticas o sintéticas.

It is a shopping center, very nice and comfortable, here we found from gastronomic establishments, ice cream parlors to a radio station. On the first floor there is a branch of the Banco de Venezuela, but this area was very dark, at that time, I did not get a good picture,

The lighting of a shopping center has always seemed to me something important, some areas of this building are very well lit with portholes that give elegance, plus natural light, but in other areas, especially on the first floor, it seemed to me that they lack a little more lighting or maybe it's just a visual impression of the moment.

Es un centro comercial, muy bonito y cómodo, aquí encontramos desde locales gastronómicos, heladerías hasta una emisora radial. En planta baja funciona una sucursal del Banco de Venezuela, pero esta zona estaba muy oscura, en ese momento, no conseguí una buena foto,

La iluminación de un centro comercial siempre me ha parecido algo importante, algunas áreas de este edificio están muy bien iluminadas con ojos de buey que le dan elegancia, más la luz natural, pero en otras áreas, especialmente en la planta baja, me pareció que les hace falta un poco más de iluminación o tal vez solo sea una impresión visual del momento.

Main facade

In front of the shopping center we have the Plaza Bolivar de Ejido and from it we can appreciate its only visible facade. In the middle of two colonial style stores, we have this simple building that stands out for the intense blue of its walls.

This simple façade is highlighted by a curved relief trellis above the main door, framed in stone cladding, as is the half wall of the first floor. These windows illuminate the stores in the front, I would have liked some of them to be free so that visitors could also enjoy the beautiful view of the Plaza and its surroundings, however on the third floor we have an open area in the back, but the view is overshadowed by the adjacent buildings. However, I quite liked this design, because I consider that the spaces are used very well, so they achieved a greater number of stores, without these cease to be comfortable.

Al frente del Centro Comercial tenemos la Plaza Bolívar de Ejido y desde ella podemos apreciar su única fachada visible. En medio de dos tiendas de estilo colonial, tenemos este sencillo edificio que sobresale por el azul intenso de sus paredes.

Esta sencilla fachada se destaca por un enrejado con relieve curvo ubicado sobre la puerta principal, enmarcada en un revestimiento en piedra, al igual que la media pared de la planta baja. Estas ventanas iluminan las tiendas que quedan en la parte frontal, me hubiese gustado que algunas de ellas estuviese libre para que los visitantes también lograran disfrutar de la hermosa vista de la Plaza y sus alrededores, sin embargo en el tercer piso tenemos un area abierta en la parte posterior, pero la vista es opacada por las edificaciones colindantes. Sin embargo, me gusto bastante este diseño, porque considero que se aprovecha muy bien los espacios, así lograron un mayor número de locales, sin que estos dejen de ser cómodos.

In general the building is quite nice, very clean and well kept, on the third floor they are doing some remodeling, so I am very curious about all the new things they have to offer.

If in any opportunity, destiny brings you to Ejido city, don't hesitate to visit this mall, it has very nice stores, ice cream shops and video game places, dental centers and more, which makes it a good place to entertain yourself, go shopping or pamper yourself in their spa.

En general el edificio es bastante bonito, muy limpio y está bien cuidado, en el tercer piso están realizando algunas remodelaciones, así que tengo mucha curiosidad acerca de todo lo nuevo que tienen por ofrecer.

Sin en alguna oportunidad, el destino te trae a la ciudad de Ejido, no dudes en conocer este centro comercial, tiene tiendas muy lindas, heladerías y sitios de videojuegos, centros odontológicos y más, lo que lo hace un buen lugar para entretenerse, ir de compras o consentirse en su spa.
