Many times, when things are not planned, they turn out better, last Sunday we went to visit the park unexpectedly, in the company of my brother, and my sister-in-law. My son could not have been happier and there was something pending to do in this place. Take a little boat ride on the small artificial lagoon that surrounds the park and, by the way, this is why it is called the island.

If you have a car, you can get there from Los Proceres Avenue through the Mucumbarila Convention Center. The park has ample parking, which is also free. But, if you prefer to use public transportation, you can easily access from Universidad Avenue and cross one of the oldest bridges in the city.
