An architectural look at the Urbanization St. Anthony, Merida, Venezuela. Esp- Eng
After visiting the Centro Comercial San Antonio, I had the opportunity to continue enjoying the architecture of one of the most important avenues in Merida, Avenida Andres Bello, at the height of the Urbanización San Antonio.
This avenue gives us a wonderful view of the Andes Mountains and its residential and commercial architecture is integrated with the environment, which makes each design more pleasant.
One of the characteristics of this area is that most of the buildings are of one or two floors, with the exception of some multi-family residential complexes. Although I walked only a couple of streets in the urbanization, I was able to fall in love with the variety of designs on the facades of dreamy single-family houses. Most of them are quintas surrounded by green areas and a beautiful garden. Most of them are delimited by perimeter walls and huge security gates.
One of my favorite houses is the one I show you in the following image. This facade immediately captured my heart and made me sigh. I love the role the roof plays and how some walls stand out from others. By designing different types of windows, some arched and some rectangular, they created a harmonious and striking visual effect. I love the combination of colors and the use of different materials such as clay, metal and glass, plus the walls have a horizontal line finish, which I had never seen before, but I really liked this effect.
In general, this urbanization is one of the most beautiful in the city, and there is an atmosphere of calm and serenity that makes you feel safe.
Before the fog continued to descend and dusk came with it, we headed back to the main avenue, where we found a beautiful restaurant with modern architecture and color that certainly stands out from afar. This is one of the restaurants of the “La Nota” franchise. In Mérida, you will find at least 05 restaurants of this brand, all with different designs, I have yet to see the most recent one.
This facade, with a volumetric T-shaped design and red color, is striking to me. It is interesting, different and unique. They also managed to blend in with the environment by using natural materials for the exterior wall cladding, such as stones or flagstones, in brown colors. Their logo is located in a strategic place and it is a musical note and they promise to give you a sensory concert of flavors that undoubtedly has positioned them in the market, although I have several years without visiting it. We will soon find out if their quality is maintained.
We continue moving forward and we found a store of one of the largest pharmaceutical franchises in Venezuela. In Mérida, we found 04 branches, all of which maintain the same design line in blue and white, the brand's colors. Its pointed blue roof is what stands out the most in its design. This pharmacy is huge and is built and designed as a warehouse or industrial building. I did not take many pictures inside because there were many people inside, but we can see part of its roof, composed of different metal trusses in white, it is also very well lit.
Before ending our walk and taking the bus back home, we enjoyed this modern and attractive building. Its design, of great volume and straight lines, I like it very much, especially for the contrast offered by its dark blue color with the gray. Its facade is composed of different materials, such as metallic panels, ceramics and the glass of its huge windows. This building is a car dealership and undoubtedly adds a modern and elegant look to this avenue.
I loved this tour, it was relaxing and interesting. The afternoon was also beautiful, a bit sunny and foggy at the same time. Perfect weather for a family walk. Tell me, what was your favorite building?

Until next time, a million blessings to your families.

Wow, this was such a refreshing read! The house you highlighted is stunning—the mix of materials and window styles really does create a beautiful harmony. Loved how the entire area blends modern design with nature so well. Also, that red T-shaped restaurant sounds so unique!
Thank you very much, sorry for the delay, I have been so busy that I overlooked your comment unintentionally, I thought I had answered it. I'm sorry for that. The restaurant is unique, it has a different design and it is very good, I want to know its new location, because when it was being built I saw that it would have a beautiful design but I don't know how it turned out.
Very beautiful architecture from the San Antonio Urbanization in Mérida, where the integration of residential and commercial designs with the natural surroundings along Andrés Bello Avenue is demonstrated. Greetings, friend @doriangel

Hi @doriangel, what beautiful buildings, your designs are varied and eye-catching, the FARMATODO stores, keep the same design, all the ones I have seen are blue and with the triangle on the roof.
Greetings!
Yes I think it is the same design everywhere, here we have two big ones and it varies very little in its design and the other one is inside a shopping mall. Thank you.
