Exploring Warsaw – Arrival and First Impressions

My trip to Warsaw started out with a smooth flight to Frankfurt, and then we switched on LOT airlines. Things did not go so smoothly, our flight was late, and we spent an hour and a half at the airport. We finally boarded and took off for Warsaw. As we landed, the plane hit severe turbulence, so it was a bumpy landing, but everything ended up being all right.

We took a bus to hotel. My room was on the eighth floor overlooking the city. Pleasant little room. The hotel itself was conveniently located at the intersection of three different architectural styles:

Modern, steel-and-glass skyscrapers,

Despite being tired, I couldn't resist going out for a walk. My first target was the National Museum (Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie), but to my disappointment, it was already closed, However, I did manage to visit the Military Museum and take a few photos

The city was enchanted—the streets teeming with people, ancient buildings proudly situated amidst the newer ones.

As the night began to fall, I reached the Discovery Park,

In the distance, I could see the famous Palace of Culture and Science. By day, this building is a foreboding reminder of Soviet rule;

at night, it is a breathtaking spectacle of lights.

On my return to the hotel, I went to the Frederic Chopin Museum,

but, once more like the National Museum, this too was shut.
Nevertheless, wandering around and absorbing Warsaw's history and city life was enough in itself. Tired but happy, I returned to my room anticipating the days ahead.!
