I just saw a big zucchini last weekend and I guess they probably keep it to get seeds. How wonderful it is I read your post today detailed step-by-step instructions on how you grow it from seeds. Just amazing. I use egg shelves for the garden too as I read they help to prevent snails to eat the plants.

Oh, thank you @Dora, pleasure is mine (:

Must be, that's great stuff about it, one will provide you a whole new harvest and probably way more!

Do you use whole eggshells and surround the plant with it? I found lots of snail houses around the property but still none in the garden, next to being helpful with snails shells will feed plants with calcium and enrich the soil.

Thanks for your feedback (:

I crush them into small pieces because the sharp edge of eggshell pieces will prevent the snails to come closer to the plant. That's what I read online and since I used that method, snails don't eat my capsicum plants any more.

Always feeling guilty when have to get rid of some pests, but I have to choose what works the best to prevent any damages.

I'll note this trick to myself in case of the snail visit.
