Shadows from a black and white cat/SMASH Round 428

Hello Hivers and Shadow Hunters community!
This is my entry for this week's Shadow Hunters Community Contest / SMASH Round 427. A huge thank you to @melinda010100 for hosting this wonderful contest through SHADOW HUNTER!
Today I want to share something a little different a simple black and white photography series I did at home featuring our cat and my own shadow. I have always been fascinated by shadows and how they can turn an ordinary moment into something that looks artistic and dramatic. Black and white photography has a way of making everything feel more powerful, more raw and more honest. It started when I noticed our cat sitting on top of the washing machine near the wall. The morning sunlight was hitting just right, casting strong and beautiful shadows on the cracked concrete wall behind. I grabbed my camera and started shooting. The cat was so calm and unbothered, just sitting there grooming itself and moving around slowly, completely unaware that it was becoming my model for the day. The contrast between its black and white fur against the textured wall made every shot look like a classic street photograph. Then I turned the camera on myself and captured my own shadow on the same wall in my head, my hands, even a peace sign gesture. There is something poetic about a shadow and it follows you everywhere but never shows your face. It reminded me that sometimes the most interesting subject in photography is not the person or the animal itself, but the shadow they leave behind. I hope you enjoyed this simple and quiet little photo series. Sometimes you do not need to go far to find beauty, it is right there at home, in the light, in the shadows, and in the ordinary moments we often overlook.
