Tet holiday atmosphere is approaching

Hi Hivers in the Photography Lovers community, as you may know, these are the last days of the old year, the year of the tiger, in the lunar calendar. And we are preparing to welcome the new year, the year of the cat. Tet holiday is Vietnam's biggest holiday. And usually we have about 10 days off for this occasion. You can feel the atmosphere of this holiday everywhere in our country. It seems like we worked so hard a year just for this holiday. I would like to show you an album that I just shot for my friend to show you a bit of the Tet holiday atmosphere in Vietnam.

According to the Vietnamese concept, Tet is the beginning of a new year. So we always prepare new things for the new year. Some people buy new cars, others buy new furniture, or some simply fix and repaint the house to make it look like new, etc. And almost everyone wears new clothes on this occasion. My friend chose to wear ao dai for this occasion. She and her daughter look cute in traditional Vietnamese women's costumes.

Tet holiday is an occasion for us to reunite with family. Usually we have 7-10 days off for this holiday. And this is a great time for those who live and work far to return and spend time with their families, so Tet holiday is also known as Tet reunion.

Tet holiday is also an occasion for us to show our filial piety to our ancestors, grandparents and parents. This is the occasion when the descendants will give their grandparents and parents wishes, deeds, gifts or even money to wish their parents a good health and a happy life.

Tet is also an opportunity for us to make our home new and more beautiful. Some people simply clean up and rearrange everything in a neat and clean manner. Others repair or repaint their homes. But almost everyone decorates to make the house more beautiful to welcome the new year. A lot of flowers will be used on this occasion.

"Spring travel" is an activity we usually do every Tet holiday. "Spring travel" means traveling on Tet. We can visit our neighbors, visit relatives, go to the market, go to the temple, visit the graves of our ancestors, etc. In the past, Vietnamese people used to go "spring travel" by foot, now we have many options such as bicycle, motorbike or car. When going to "spring travel", everyone dresses well.

On Tet holiday, you will find people gentler, happier and friendlier than usual. According to the Vietnamese concept, what we do in the first days of the new year will affect the rest of the new year, so everyone wants to keep a happy atmosphere in the first days of the new year. Moreover, we believe that doing good deeds in the first days of the year will attract wealth and fortune in the new year.
