Hello dear Hivers in the Outdoors and more community, me and my friends just had a wonderful boat trip on Dak Tang lake that I would like to share with you today. On hot days like this, taking a boat trip is a memorable experience. There are many interesting activities at Dak Tang lake in this dry season such as fishing, boating, sightseeing, camping, jungle trekking and water sports.
First I would like to tell you a little bit about Dak Tang lake. Dak Tang Lake, located about a one-hour drive north of Mang Den town, is a big lake in the middle of immense and beautiful nature. It is known for its incredible nature and biodiversity. It was formed when people built the upper Kon Tum hydroelectric dam. The deepest recorded point of the lake is more than 200m. The length of the lake is 15km and is surrounded by primeval forests. Today, Dak Tang lake is becoming a popular tourist destination. The lake's crystal-clear waters and stunning green color are a sight to behold. The surrounding forests and mountains offer hiking trails, campgrounds, and scenic overlooks, making it an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts.
In the dry season, the water level at Dak Tang lake has dropped by nearly 2m, revealing many beautiful places and islands. So now is the right time to take a boat trip on this beautiful lake. The water level drops to reveal beautiful forests and waterfalls. The ferryman who is a longtime fisherman on this great lake took us to hidden and beautiful spots around the lake. Without his direction, we would never have known and reached these spots.
After a wonderful boat trip exploring the stunning views of different corners of the lake, we stopped on an oasis in the middle of the lake, where we prepared and had lunch together. The fisherman prepared for us some snakehead, carp and stream fish that he caught the night before. He also taught us how to cook different dishes from fish in the wild. We had the water fish, and I was most impressed with the stream fish cooked in a bamboo tube with a wild vegetable. It was my first time trying it, and it tasted weird and interesting.

Then together we had a wonderful lunch on the oasis. There is nothing more wonderful than a lunch with close friends in the midst of beautiful nature and under cool wind. During the lunch, the fisherman also shared with us how to catch and cook fish and interesting stories about Dak Tang lake. Through his stories, Dak Tang Lake is a place full of mysteries. After lunch we continue to paddle SUP to explore the beauty of Dak Tang Lake before returning home. It was a great boat trip.
