Hello dear Hivers in the Pinmapple community, today I would like to introduce you to an interesting village. It is Vi Ro Ngheo community tourism village, it is still a little known village nestled between mountains and forests of Dak Tang commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province. I am sure it will be interesting to spend a day in this village to discover about the people, culture, customs, food and landscape around this village.

Nestled between the mountains and forests of Dak Tang commune, and about 45km from the center of Mang Den town, it can be said that Vi Ro Ngheo community tourism village is located in a separate location. It is this that has created the interesting features of this village. Currently, you can follow provincial road 676, to reach this beautiful village. In the future, provincial road 676 will be upgraded to national highway 24D, making it easier to go to this village.
Currently, Vi Ro Ngheo community tourism village has about 64 households and 300 people living together, forming a miniature society of the Xo Dang ethnic minority. It is geographical difficulties that make them even more united. The Xo Dang people in Vi Ro Ngheo village are honest, friendly and hard-working people. You will feel so warm when you visit this interesting village.
The villagers earn their living mainly from growing rice, herding buffaloes, going to the forest and fishing in streams. Their life goes on peacefully and gently. When you come here, you will forget all the hustle and bustle. Although life is hard and difficult, the villagers are always cheerful and happy.
They have a rich spiritual life. The special thing about Vi Ro Ngheo community tourism village is that 100% of the villagers are Protestant. They have a strong belief in God, and they live and work according to the good instructions of God, so you will see that they treat each other very civilized. You will hardly see alcohol or beer in the village. In addition to working time, villagers enjoy playing sports and participating in cultural activities such as gongs, dancing, and singing. This makes the community of this village more cohesive and people closer together.
There are many beautiful sights in and around the village that you can visit. Exploring rustic wooden stilt houses, cozy fireplaces is also an interesting activity that you should not miss. Especially this beautiful village has a very good sense of nature and landscape protection. Villagers plant many different kinds of flowers around the village. The forests around the village still retain their pristine beauty. And especially, the hills of orchids and rhododendrons are specialties of this village that you should not miss when you have the opportunity to visit this village. Besides, myrtle hill is a perfect location to watch sunrise, sunset, beautiful valleys around and hunt for clouds in the early morning.
Thank you very much for taking time to read my post. If you have a chance to visit Mang Den, just let me know, I'm more that happy to take you there.

I noticed that your place has a lot of ethnic minority groups.. They are usually those people that live a content and happy life.. And blessed abundantly..
Hey Jane, you're right. I am living in a mountainous area, so there are many different ethnic groups. And there are many beautiful villages too. And it's true that they have a happy life as you said.
Life in a village like this is what many people want, especially in villages that have an atmosphere of serenity, we will always feel happy there. But of course access to urban areas must also have good roads.
Btw, the photos you got are really beautiful, and I'm really happy to see them. 😆😘
Hi @xoxois
I think everything has two sides. Eventhough the life in remote area like this is very difficult, but the people there are happy, you're right.
And thank your for your compliment.
What a beautiful area and village.
Thanks for sharing that with us. It's always wonderful to see that a current situation or way of life isn't the only to live.
I'd love to go and work there for a few months!
Hi @nickydee
You know what, I'm living in the village to help local people. It's great if you can join.
Ah. I'd love to but my situation is complicated.
Perhaps one day...

This was such a great way to keep the heritage intact and show tourists a great example of what life is like. I have to ask how this came to be? Did they volunteer to live within a separate community? Were the houses built for them? Do they receive financial compensation for this? It is interesting and I was wondering about the inner workings of it.
This is such a rich and beautiful life, allowing you the freedom to breathe fresh air and live among nature. The hard work makes for a living, but, I have come to realize that happiness is homemade. Living a simple life can be so gratifying.
Your pictures are always amazing, each picture telling its own story. Thank you for taking us there!
Hi @dswigle
It's interesting to know that the local people prefer to live in remote area. Even though the government encourages them to live in the center residental area, but they tend to move deep into the forest. I don't know why, that's kind of their custom. They lead a self-supply life. Despite of the difficulties, they are happy.
And thank you for your compliment.
I cannot say I blame them. The more forward society get, the less pleasure they get from life. Everything becomes about doing better and getting ahead. Have you ever noticed that happiness is homemade.
It is such a nice place! Again, thank you!
Wow - stunning pictures. What a fantastic place !

Hi @old-man-chu58
Thank you very much for your visit and lovely comment.
What you say about the village is what I feel about it. At the first time I've visited the village, the local people did not really welcome me. They were a little bit scared of me and got away from me, but then they became friendlier, and now they consider me as a villager in the community because I am leaving in the village to help them with their project to develop the tourism.
That’s really cool that you help eachother
