Discover the beauty of the remote village of Dak Sai

avatar

Hello dear Hivers in the Pinmapple community, I just had a tour to discover the beauty of a remote village, which I would like to share with you today. That is Dak Sai village, in Mang Buk commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province. It's a beautiful remote village of ethnic minorities Xo Dang. Dak Sai is still a village with a pristine beauty with rustic houses, poetic river and breathtaking rice terraces. The people here are also very gentle and friendly.

Located about 70km from the center of Kon Plong district, Dak Sai lies deep to the north. There's only one path to it, and it's quite arduous. That little road was badly damaged and to reach the village I even had to drive through streams that crossed the road. I stopped once to rest because of the stress of driving. Although the road is difficult, the scenery on both sides of the road is very beautiful with hills, forests, rivers, rice fields.

It took me more than 2 hours to drive from Kon PLong district center to Dak Sai village. The village is divided into two separate parts by provincial road 676. Part of the village is located on a hill. The foundation of one house may be higher than the roof of another. The houses are built at different heights on a hillside, forming a very interesting and majestic sight.

The rest of the village lies on the other side of the Dak Bla River. To get there, locals have to cross an iron suspension bridge. Surely cars cannot go over this small bridge. Only motorbikes, bicycles or walking are accepted here. This small corner is romantically nestled among the rice fields and next to the Dak Bla river. The small houses in the village are built mainly from wood and have a very simple structure.

The people in this village are the Xo Dang ethnic minority. They mainly make a living by growing rice, fishing in the river and going to the forest. I had the opportunity to meet some of them on the way to explore the beauty of the village. Although life is hard, they still look very happy. The children here have very beautiful faces, they have distinctive facial features, so I can easily tell the difference between them and me. They were also very polite, when I gave them some snacks, they thanked me.

We can easily see children riding motorbikes in this village.

The kids are on their way to school. They have to walk through rice fields to go to school.

Dak Sai village is surrounded by the legendary Dak Bla river. This river plays a very important role in the life of the villagers. The Dak Bla River is not only a source of water and silt for the village's agricultural cultivation, it also provides a source of fish for the villagers. The branches of streams flowing from the forest are used by villagers to make water for domestic use and personal hygiene.

And what I like most about this village is the rice fields. The rice fields here can be cultivated into interesting terraces because of the steep terrain. Villagers will definitely pay more effort and time to cultivate rice in these rice fields. In this season, newly planted rice plants cover the rice fields with a green layer.

Dak Sai looks great, respect that you even drove through water, I think that would have been a bit too much for me :) But you could see a really great landscape.

<3 thank you, my friend! For sure I'll come back and holy yes! You'll have to take me to these amazing villages! Vietnam for me was like a lollipop that was taken from a kid. At least, this is how I feel it. I couldn't explore the way I wanted because of the pandemic and I have this dream to come back. Wait for me!

What a beautiful place; such a pure and healthy atmosphere.
It looks a lot like places in my beloved country Venezuela, especially in the central area, where the most important cities are, but, they look like the villages around those cities.
Wonderful pictures @dodovietnam
Greetings.

I really love the rural villages over there, such a simple, yet rich life is led there. You are surrounded in peace and you can tell by just looking at the faces how kind and friendly they are.

I love the layers of mountains in the background, the terraced paddies, and the simplicity of life there, not to be confused with how hard they must work to make it all work. You can breathe in the beauty here. It looked like a challenging trip to get there, but, I am sure that it was an amazing place to visit.

Thank you or recounting your visit there.

Have a great rest of your week!

So much diversity. I love those rice fields, and the landscape is so beautiful. It's so different to what I'm used to see in Europe. All looks lush and alive.

And those kids are indeed beautiful. I like the facial expressions that you managed to take.

Thanks a lot for sharing! It's a great post!

To bring the faces of the people living in these places through your photographs, I think that was the most beautiful thing about the whole post.
