Humanized spaces for reflection / Espacios Humanizados para la reflexión

Hello friends of Urban Exploration I am Denny Muñoz @dnymuz, visual artist recently in this community, I want to share with you part of my work of visual research and exploration through different cities in Latin America that I have visited, this first chapter called "Humanized Spaces for reflection" refers to those places that have ceased to function for the purpose for which they were intended and now go on to fulfill another important function in society.

During my stay in Buenos Aires-Argentina I had the opportunity to visit several interesting places, one of them that caught my attention is the IMPA Cultural Center, also known as The Fabric "an unusual experience" as they describe it in their publications, it should be noted that this post does not intend to advertise this space and much less to advertise their position or political-social tendency, the only purpose of this post is to show those places recovered and converted into a refuge for the arts and sharing; at least that is my intention with this post and my visits to alternative spaces in the city.

It is so comforting to find some urban spaces that have been somehow recovered from oblivion, from the destruction of time, from vandalism among other things, places that have been humanized by the arts and for the arts, but more specifically to become spaces for dialogue, reflection and collective enjoyment; entering these spaces full of stories that have now been contextualized in another much more alternative and exploratory vision is really an enriching experience culturally speaking.

I was accompanied by some visual artist colleagues residing in the city of Buenos Aires, I had the opportunity to discover this place and appreciate works of various kinds and artistic disciplines among: paintings, video, installations, photographs, music, performance, etc. All this in this old metallurgical factory located in the heart of the city, today called “La Fábrica Centro Cultural” https://www.facebook.com/ccimpalafabrica I wanted to Urban Exploration community, I hope you liked this first post, we will continue to see you here in the second part of the delivery. Espacios Humanizados para la reflexión

Hola amigos de Urban Exploration soy Denny Muñoz @dnymuz, artista visual recientemente en esta comunidad, les quiero compartir parte de mi trabajo de investigación visual y exploración por distintas ciudades de Latinoamérica que he visitado, este primer capítulo llamado “Espacios Humanizados para la reflexión” hace referencia a esos lugares que han dejado de funcionar para el fin que han sido destinados y ahora pasan a cumplir otra función importante en la sociedad.

Durante mi estadía en Buenos Aires-Argentina tuve la oportunidad de conocer varios sitios interesantes, uno de ellos que me llamó mucho la atención es El centro Cultural IMPA, también conocido como La Fábrica, “una experiencia inusual” así como lo describen ellos mismo en sus publicaciones, cabe destacar que este post no pretender hacer publicidad de dicho espacio y mucho menos hacer propaganda de su postura o tendencia político-social, el único fin de este post es mostrar esos lugares recuperados y convertidos en refugio para las artes y el compartir; al menos esa es mi intención con este post y mis visitas a espacios alternativos de la ciudad.

Es tan reconfortante encontrarse con algunos espacios urbanos que han sido de alguna manera recuperados por el olvido, por la destrucción del tiempo, por el vandalismo entre otras cosas, logares que han sido humanizados por las artes y para las artes, pero más específicamente para convertirse en espacios de diálogo, reflexión y disfrute colectivo; entrar a estos espacios llenos de historias que ahora han sido contextualizados en otra visión mucho más alternativa y exploratoria es realmente una experiencia enriquecedora culturalmente hablando.

Fui acompañado por unos colegas artistas visuales residenciados en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, tuve la oportunidad de descubrir este lugar y apreciar obras de diversas índoles y disciplinas artísticas entre: pinturas, video, Instalaciones, fotografías, música, performance, etc. Todo esto en esa antigua fábrica metalúrgica ubicada en pleno centro de la ciudad, hoy en día llamada La Fábrica Centro Cultural. https://www.facebook.com/ccimpalafabrica Quería comunidad de Urban Exploration, espero que les haya gustado este primer post, nos seguiremos viendo por aquí en la segunda parte de la entrega.
