Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the brain, which is essential for sleep. Deficiency of melatonin leads to sleep disturbance. Melatonin supplement is a mordern trend.
However, some foods are a good source of melatonin. Regular consumption of those foods can make up for the deficiency! Notable foods are:
- Tart cherry juice
- Goji Berries
- Egg
- Milk
- Fish (Oily fish like salmon and sardines)
- Nut (Pistachios and almonds have the highest melatonin)
