Travel Post 34 - Meizhou Day 2 Part One: China Hakka Museum

Hi there. In this travel post, our group enjoys a good first night sleep in Meizhou and start day 2.

Meizhou is a small city (China size small) in the Guangdong province of China. It is 2 hours away by high speed train to Guangzhou or Shenzhen. Meizhou could be around 3 hours away by train to Hong Kong.

Morning

Our family connection in Meizhou has a small noodle restaurant that operates mostly for breakfast and lunch. We start our day there.

China Hakka Museum

The main part of the day was our travel group visiting the China Hakka Museum in Meizhou.

Outside Area Photos

Inside Of Museum

There is no admission fee for this museum. It is free. This is somewhat surprising as this museum is kind of big and there are a lot of spacious areas.

Near the entrance there is a souvenir store.

There is one room with a curved sculpted wall. Pretty cool.

Few More Outside Photos

While exiting the museum I took a few more outside photos.

In the next post, our group head to a temple/Pagoda area. I think it is called Thousand Buddha Temple. Our family friend guide did not really specify the name.

More to come.

Thank you for reading.

I absolutely love noodles! The museum is a wonderful place to visit because it's free, and the glassware there is beautiful.

One of my dreams is to visit the Great Wall of China. I am always fascinated by it, and I really want to go there.

Great Wall in Beijing is nice. Avoid the super hot summer months (July, August, September) and the cold winter months.

This Museum being free was unexpectedly nice.
