大熊在鬧區 / Big Bear in the Busy District





這隻叫做「熊讚」的大熊,是台北市的吉祥物,牠是一隻全身黑色、帶著可愛微笑的台灣黑熊形象,胸前有著明顯的白色 V 字形毛紋,看起來既親切又充滿活力,在許多大型活動中,都能看到牠的身影,例如城市節慶、觀光推廣活動、路跑活動或展覽開幕,吉祥物會用誇張又逗趣的動作帶動氣氛,讓原本嚴肅的活動變得更有活力。
六公尺高的巨型熊讚氣偶很常顯眼,遠遠地就可以看到牠,因此,不少到鬧區逛街的人們,紛紛找熊讚合照,只要和熊讚拍一張照片,就可以留下了最有趣的紀念,旁邊的熊讚小屋內,人們不但可以好小號的熊讚打卡拍照之外,還能透過寫信,將祝福傳達給熊讚,之後,熊讚會親自前往熊讚小屋開啟信箱,是在學聖誕老人嗎?
說實話,現在的吉祥物太多了,最有名,也最廣為人知的吉祥物,聽說是米老鼠,牠作為迪士尼公司的吉祥物已有六十年之久,也是迪士尼公司的搖錢樹,米老鼠的各式周邊,幫迪士尼賺了不少錢,但更重要的是米老鼠的影響力,不過,我相信應該很多人沒聽過「熊讚」,吉祥物要能夠永續經營的話,必須持續曝光及與粉絲們互動,熊讚能夠參與這個在鬧區的活動,沒有背後很多人的努力,是辦不到的,但是還有很長的路要走。
This big bear called 熊讚 Bravo is the mascot of Taipei City. It’s designed as a Taiwanese black bear with a cute smile and a completely black body, with a very noticeable white V-shaped mark on its chest. The character looks friendly and energetic. You can often see it appearing at many large events, such as city festivals, tourism promotion events, running races, or exhibition openings. Mascots usually use exaggerated and funny movements to hype up the crowd, making events that might otherwise feel serious become much more lively.
A six-meter-tall inflatable Bravo Bear is especially eye-catching. You can spot it from far away, so many people who are shopping in the busy district stop by to take photos with it. Just taking a picture with Bravo Bear can become a fun and memorable moment. Next to it, there is also a small Bravo Bear house. Inside, people can not only take photos and check in with a smaller version of Bravo Bear, but they can also write letters to send their wishes to the mascot. Later, Bravo Bear will personally come to the little house to open the mailbox. Is it trying to imitate Santa Claus?
To be honest, there are so many mascots nowadays. The most famous and widely recognized one is probably Mickey Mouse. As the mascot of The Walt Disney Company for more than sixty years, Mickey Mouse has become a real money-maker for the company. All kinds of Mickey merchandise have earned Disney a huge amount of money. But even more important than the profit is Mickey’s global influence.
However, I believe many people around the world still haven’t heard of Bravo Bear. For a mascot to remain successful in the long run, it needs constant exposure and interaction with its fans. The fact that Bravo Bear can take part in this event in such a busy shopping district definitely requires a lot of effort from many people behind the scenes. Still, there is a long road ahead if it wants to become truly well known.
