讓孩童放電的好地方 / A great place for kids to burn off their energy
還是孩童的時候，最期待的，往往是一個可以盡情玩樂、放聲歡笑的地方，生活在台北，這樣的地方，除了家附近的公園之外，就是兒童樂園了，那時候，要去兒童樂園可以一件舟車勞頓的事情，但是卻是令人期待的。
走進樂園的大門，可以看到高高矗立的摩天輪慢慢轉動，從上面可以俯瞰整個園區與周圍景色，除了摩天輪之外，園區裡還有旋轉木馬、海盜船、碰碰車以及各式各樣適合不同年齡層的遊樂設施，比較膽小的我，不太敢玩太刺激的遊戲，最常玩的就是可以和小夥伴撞來撞去的碰碰車了，而海盜船則是喜歡刺激的孩子最愛，當船身來回擺盪時，尖叫聲與笑聲交織在一起，讓人也忍不住跟著緊張又興奮。
這個矗立在鬧區中的繽紛樂園，像是一個小型的兒童樂園，雖然遊樂設施不多，只有旋轉木馬、海盜船及跳跳床等，但是和大多數的公園相比，遊戲項目多了不少，大多數的公園只有溜滑梯及翹翹板等，此外，當父母去鬧區逛街、採購或和朋友下午茶時，孩童便可在這裡盡情放電，放電之後，再去百貨商場內的美食街品嘗異國美食，真是一個快樂愜意的下午啊！
When we were still kids, what we looked forward to most was usually a place where we could play freely and laugh as loud as we wanted. Growing up in Taipei, besides the small parks near our homes, the place everyone dreamed of going to was the Taipei Children's Amusement Park. Back then, getting there could be quite a long trip with buses or other transportation, but it was always something exciting to look forward to.
When you walked through the entrance of the park, the first thing you could see was the tall Ferris wheel slowly turning. From the top, you could look out over the whole park and the surrounding area. Besides the Ferris wheel, the park also had a carousel, a pirate ship, bumper cars, and many other rides suitable for different ages. Since I was a bit timid, I didn’t really dare to try the more thrilling rides. The one I played the most was the bumper cars, where I could crash around with my friends. On the other hand, the pirate ship was always the favorite for kids who loved excitement. As the ship swung back and forth, the screams and laughter mixed together, making everyone feel both nervous and thrilled at the same time.
This colorful amusement area, standing right in the middle of a busy shopping district, felt like a small children’s amusement park. Even though there weren’t many rides, just a carousel, a pirate ship, a jumping trampoline, and a few others, it still had more fun options than most regular parks. Most parks usually only have things like slides or seesaws. Another nice thing was that when parents went shopping, running errands, or meeting friends for afternoon tea in the busy district, kids could come here and burn off their energy. After playing until they were tired, the family could head to the food court in the nearby department store and enjoy different kinds of international food. It really made for a relaxing and happy afternoon.
