Shana is looking at: "La Clave" Talleres [ESP | ENG]
¡Gente bonita! Espero estén muy bien, hoy me toca contarles como fueron estos días en Maturín pero antes de la parte de la competencia como tal, el lado de los talleres y todo lo que ofreció el lugar. De verdad que ver los talleres con Daniel Maiorano y Jennifer Tsuha fue demasiado increíble, me puse tan nerviosa que no pude evitar llamar la atención en algún momento, pero de verdad fue mágico.
Lo que más me gustó es que los talleres fueron en lo que llamamos "on 2" pues es lo que ambos bailan y enseñan, pero toda la competencia era Timba en 1 así que de verdad fue un cambio bastante fuerte para mis compañeros que algunos no hicieron el taller pero yo amo ese estilo así que simplemente me lo disfrute cada segundo y sentí hasta más ganas de experimentar talleres y competencia pero ahora en el estilo en 2.
También logré por fin saludar a otro gran profesor que ya había hecho taller con él de lo se llama "reparto" que podría ser timba con reguetón y así, fue genial por fin tomarme una foto con él. Ya lo que viene son las fotos del final del primer día pero les dejaré para otro post, el cuento del mi traje y como viví el día 1 de la competencia de "La Clave".

Hey, everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Today I'm going to tell you about my time in Maturín, but before I get to the competition itself, I want to talk about the workshops and everything else the place had to offer. Seeing the workshops with Daniel Maiorano and Jennifer Tsuha was truly incredible. I was so nervous that I couldn't help but draw attention to myself at some point, but it was truly magical.
What I liked most was that the workshops were in what we call “on 2,” which is what they both dance and teach, but the whole competition was Timba in 1, so it was a pretty big change for my classmates, some of whom didn't do the workshop, but I love that style, so I just enjoyed every second of it and felt even more eager to experience workshops and competition, but now in the 2 style.
I also finally got to say hello to another great teacher who had already done a workshop with him called “reparto,” which could be timba with reggaeton and stuff like that. It was great to finally take a picture with him. Next up are the photos from the end of the first day, but I'll leave those for another post, along with the story of my costume and how I experienced day 1 of the “La Clave” competition.
