Surroundings of the Colón Theater, Buenos Aires - Monomad Challenge.

One of my favorite places for street photography is the Teatro Colón and its surroundings, Although there are buildings of greater magnitude and imposition near there I always choose the theater for the design of architecture and what you can get there. Everything is excessively great in terms of its structure and all the details are wonderful, doors, windows, balconies, reliefs and more.

In a way, it is like traveling to the past, on one of its side sides there is enough space to completely portray this building with a focal distance of 18mm.

Although it is currently valued and it is national historical heritage I must assume that it is not the same as before, in the golden age of its beginnings and concerts. In this place, many national and international artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Igor Stravinsky, ostor Piazzolla and many others have been. He is also famous and known for his excellent acoustics worldwide.

Speaking in terms of photography, the light you get there is great according to the time you can combine people with the structure of the theater and some shadows. It is very interesting to know that you can also create scenes that seem from the past because of the aesthetics of all this place, minimalist shots and obviously photography of architecture.

So, if you ever come to Buenos Aires, it is necessary and even mandatory to visit the Colón Theater. I hope to make a visit to appreciate the interior.

If you liked some of these photos let me know in the comments :)

It's a great place to take photographs. I visited the Colón Theatre in 1995, imagine how long ago that was, I was only there once on a school trip.

The lighting, as you mention, and the position of the sun allow you to take wonderful photographs like the ones you have taken. My favourite is the fourth one because there were also people in it, and you can appreciate the dimensions of the buildings in relation to the people, which is surprising. The black and white style gave your composition a special magic. Very good work!

I didn't know you had been here, you didn't know this theater either 😯 That is a surprise!

This is one of my favorite places to take photos precisely for that contrast among more people and the magnitude of the buildings. The compositions are very attractive near the theater.

Thank you very much for your valuable comment and support dear @avdesing appreciate it 😊🤗📸
