Streets of Belgrano | Monomad Challenge [ENG/ESP]

Belgrano is one of the nicest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, there are very picturesque places and others not so much. In this neighborhood there is a small area called 'Las Cañitas', I once talked about it months ago but now I have taken a walk again to take new pictures. Las Cañitas is home to many English style houses, colonial, old and very attractive.

It is a place with stone streets and trees that form arches between them.... Very steep streets and iconic cathedrals or churches.

Belgrano es uno de los barrios más lindos de Buenos Aires, hay lugares muy pintorescos y otros no tanto. En este barrio hay una pequeña zona que se llama 'Las Cañitas', una vez hablé de ello hace meses pero ahora me he dado un paseo nuevamente para hacer nuevas fotos. Las Cañitas alberga muchas viviendas de estilo inglés, coloniales, antiguas y muy atractivas.

Es un lugar con calles de piedra y árboles que forman arcos entre si... Calles muy inclinadas y catedrales o iglesias icónicas.

I decided to dedicate a series to black and white photographs of one of these cathedrals, specific parts of the structures such as these arches and columns that form a beautiful symmetry in combination with light and shadow.

Decidí dedicar una serie a fotografías en blanco y negro de una de estas catedrales, partes específicas de las estructuras como es el caso de estos arcos y columnas que forman una simetría hermosa en combinación con luces y sombras.

How interesting can a window be? I don't know, you tell me 🤣 well yes, for me it is and very much so, even more so in black and white.

This neighborhood is considered one of the upper class neighborhoods of the city, however there are areas that are not very clean, I think it's something normal here. What attracts me a lot apart from the urban aesthetics is the combination of the old structures with the abundant nature and the security offered by the police authorities, because it is an area of many embassies, besides the fact that it is an area of many embassies.

¿Qué tan interesante puede ser una ventana? No lo sé, díganme ustedes 🤣 pues sí, para mí lo es y muchísimo, más aún en blanco y negro.

Este barrio es considero uno de los barrios de clase alta de la ciudad sin embargo hay zonas que no están muy limpias que digamos creo que es algo normal acá. Lo que si me atrae mucho aparte de la estética urbana es la combinación de las estructuras antiguas con la abundante naturaleza y la seguridad que ofrecen las autoridades policiales, pues es una zona de muchas embajadas, además.

This series includes photos related to simple details, posters, signs and objects that can be exaggeratedly common as for example the following shot.

Ésta serie incluye fotos relacionadas a simplemente detalles, carteles, avisos y objetos que pueden ser exageradamente comunes como por ejemplo la siguiente toma.

During the tour I carried three lenses which I used in certain photos. These last two photos were with an 85mm, a Philippine embassy billboard and a garbage container in one of the corners of the neighborhood.

Durante el recorrido lleve tres lentes los cuales usé en ciertas fotos. Estas últimas dos fotos fueron con un 85 mm, un cartel de aviso de la embajada de Filipinas y un container de basura en una de las esquinas del barrio.
