Rainy Day, Street Photography | Monomad Challenge [ENG/ESP]
Greetings guys! Today we are going with another series of street photographs, photos that I missed taking in good and very emblematic areas, in this case in the neighborhood of Retiro in the city of Buenos Aires. This is a very recent post because they are pictures I took a few hours ago while doing a personal errand, I had not planned to publish this but I think the occasion deserves it, as they are images of a historical and touristic place on a rainy day, in fact it is still raining as I write this.
The famous monumental tower, the old tower of the English was the protagonist on this occasion, obviously these photos would be in black and white and would provide a touch of yesteryear, as if it were the past.
Saludos chicos! Hoy vamos con otra serie de fotografías de calle, fotos que extrañaba hacer recorriendo buenas y muy emblemáticas zonas, en este caso en el barrio de Retiro en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Éste es un post muy reciente porque son fotos que tomé hace algunas horas mientras hacía un trámite personal, no tenía pensado publicar esto pero la ocasión creo que lo amerita, ya que son imágenes de un lugar histórico y turístico en día de lluvia, de hecho aún sigue lloviendo mientras les escribo esto.
La famosa torre monumental, antigua torre de los ingleses fue la protagonista en esta ocasión, pues obviamente éstas fotos serían en blanco y negro y proporcionarían un toque antaño, como si se tratase del pasado.
The first two photos are very similar to a photo that was taken from a similar angle but in the 50's, I think. It's a perfect angle with very good composition and I just placed myself in the same place but at this time from the MITRE train station I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have in the frame the people, the tower, the arch of one of the entrances of the station, the rain and the absence of colors 😊
Then we have another photo of the tower from another perspective, incorporating a natural element, something gloomy I could say? Well I reckon those branches look that way and I love it! I had to get a lot of water on me while taking that photo 😂 but it was worth it.
Below are a couple of low angle shots, another view, same angle, different focus points.
Las primeras dos fotos son muy parecidas a una foto que se tomó desde un ángulo parecido pero en los años 50, creo. Es un ángulo perfecto con muy buena composición y yo solo me coloque en el mismo lugar pero en esta época desde la estación de ferrocarril MITRE no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de tener en el encuadre a las personas, la torre, el arco de una de las entradas de la estación, la lluvia y la ausencia de colores 😊
Después tenemos otra foto de la torre desde otra perspectiva, incorporando un elemento natural, algo tétrico podría decir? Pues yo considero que esas ramas lucen de esa forma y me encanta! Tuve que recibir gran cantidad de agua sobre mí mientras tomaba esa foto 😂 pero valió la pena.
Abajo tenemos un par de fotos con ángulos bajos, otra visión, mismo ángulo, diferentes puntos de enfoque.
From Leandro Alem avenue, a photo with a small reflection showing the passage of a public transport bus, in the background some buildings and a tree on the left side. As a bonus I took a picture while waiting for my Uber to return home after finishing my paperwork, where the business towers of Retiro are protagonists. In the middle of these towers you can see the top of the famous and historic Kavanagh building, it is the smallest of them all.
I really longed to take pictures of this kind and with a weather like this, although the ideal is to do them when the rains are ending I did it while I was receiving all the rain on me, I do not complain anyway. I think they are quite interesting photos and they are my entry for the monomad challenge 😊
Desde la avenida Leandro Alem, una foto con un pequeño reflejo donde se muestra el paso de un transporte público de autobús, en el fondo algunos edificios y un árbol al lado izquierdo. Cómo bonus tomé una foto mientras esperaba mi Uber para regresar a casa luego de terminado mi trámite, dónde las torres empresariales de Retiro son protagonistas. En medio de estas torres se puede observar la parte superior del famoso e histórico edificio Kavanagh, es el más pequeño de todos.
Realmente anhelaba hacer fotos de este tipo y con un clima así, aunque lo ideal es hacerlas cuando están terminando las lluvias yo lo hice mientras recibía toda la lluvia sobre mi, no me quejo de igual forma. Creo que son fotos bastante interesantes y son mi entrada para el reto monomad 😊
