People and Buildings in Retiro, Buenos Aires | Monomad Challenge [ENG/ESP]
A post about the streets of the Retiro neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires, where the protagonists are people and architecture, photographs expressed in black and white to show the essence of this area of the city, buildings and commercial towers in the photographic field in what is known as "Catalinas Norte".
A combination that I have saved to share with the community as my entry for the monomad challenge. Compositions that to my perception are quite interesting.
Un post sobre las calles del barrio de Retiro en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, dónde los protagonistas son las personas y la arquitectura, fotografías expresadas en blanco y negro para mostrar la escencia de esta zona de la ciudad, los edificios y torres comerciales en el ámbito fotográfico en lo que se conoce como "Catalinas Norte".
Una combinación que he guardado para compartir en la comunidad como mi entrada para el reto monomad. Composiciones que a mí percepción son bastante interesantes.
The idea of portraying buildings has always caught my attention, it is very striking to think about the angles that can be used at the time of doing it depending on the type of building we have in front of us and the area where they are, general shots, close-ups, wide angle, and I always seek to capture some symmetry in this.
As is the case of these first photos, buildings accompanying each other and also looking for some reflections as I show in one of these photos of one of the buildings full of glass.
La idea de retratar edificios siempre me ha llamado la atención, es muy llamativo pensar en los ángulos que se pueden emplear al momento de hacerlo dependiendo del tipo de edificio que tengamos en frente y la zona en donde se encuentren, planos generales, planos cerrados, gran angular y siempre busco captar algo de simetría en esto.
Cómo es el caso de estas primeras fotos, edificios acompañándose entre sí y también buscando algunos reflejos como muestro en una de estas fotos de uno de los edificios llenos de vidrios.
I didn't miss the opportunity to also take some pictures of people walking around the business complex in the area and take some other pictures as a closer shot. In this case I used my 55-200mm lens since I hadn't used it for a long time, I had forgotten how good it is and the results it gives me.
When it comes to capturing these structures I also like to highlight certain parts of the buildings, such as their windows, balconies and higher parts. In fact I don't think in this series I took pictures of a whole building.
No dejé pasar la oportunidad de retratar además a algunas personas caminando por el complejo empresarial de la zona y hacer otras fotos como más acercamiento. En este caso utilice mi lente 55-200mm ya que tenía muchísimo tiempo que no lo usaba, había olvidado lo como que es y los resultados que éste me ofrece.
Cuando se trata de capturar éstas estructuras me gusta además resaltar determinadas partes de los edificios, cómo sus ventanas, balcones y partes más superiores. De hecho creo que en ésta serie no tomé fotos de un edificio completo.
It's also interesting to portray details, objects in the street that can express something, I did it with this huge bag of garbage collected by people who are engaged in this type of informal work and that in this area abound.
People passing through the avenues and walking from one side to the other. I will take a day to take more expressive photos in this area as I had completely forgotten that this complex is very attractive. What did you think of these photos? If you liked them leave me a comment 😊
También es interesante retratar detalles, objetos en la calle que pueden llegar a expresar algo, lo hice con esta bolsa enorme de basura que recolectan personas y que se dedican a este tipo de trabajo informal y que en esta zona abundan.
Personas transitando por las avenidas y caminando de un lado a otro. Tomaré un día para hacer fotos más expresivas en esta zona ya que había olvidado por completo que éste complejo es muy atractivo. ¿Que te han parecido éstas fotos? Si te gustaron déjame un comentario 😊
