Monument to the Postman, Buenos Aires [ENG/ESP]
The city of Buenos Aires is full of monuments of all kinds and in many neighborhoods. These monuments are usually mostly sculptures or statues and are located in squares. A couple of days ago I was walking around an area in the neighborhood of San Nicolas known as 'Paseo del Bajo' and I was photographing the surroundings, the architecture and the urbanism.
In this place is located the Kirchner cultural center and in front of it you can see the moment to the letter carrier. It makes a lot of sense since this cultural center in the past was the headquarters of the central post office.
La ciudad de Buenos Aires está llena de monumentos de todo tipo y en muchísimos barrios. Estos monumentos por lo general son en su mayoría esculturas o estatuas y están situadas en plazas. Hace un par de días estuve caminando por una zona del barrio de San Nicolás que se conoce como 'Paseo del Bajo' y estuve fotografiando los alrededores, la arquitectura y el urbanismo.
Pues en este lugar se encuentra el centro cultural Kirchner y frente a éste se puede apreciar el momento al cartero. Tiene mucho sentido ya que este centro cultural en el pasado fue la sede del correo central.
As many of you know in the past, one way to communicate was through letters and there was a job for this, the letter carriers who traveled around the city to deliver them to their destination. I think it is very important to pay tribute to the people who did this job. I really did not know about this monument even though I have visited the place several times.
In these photos you can see the architecture in the background, the emblematic and historic Casa Rosada (each government house), old domes and behind the letter carrier the old building of the central post office, now the Kirchner cultural center.
Cómo muchos saben en el pasado una forma de comunicarnos era a través de cartas y existía un puesto laboral para ello, los carteros que recorrían la ciudad para entregarlas en su destino. Me parece muy importante el hecho de homenajear a las personas que cumplieron con esta labor. Realmente no conocía sobre este monumento a pesar de que he visitado el lugar varias veces.
En esta fotos se puede apreciar la arquitectura de fondo, la emblemática e histórica casa rosada (cada de gobierno), cupulas antiguas y detrás del cartero el antiguo edificio del correo central ahora centro cultural Kirchner.
I was also looking for some information about the sculptor because it seems relevant to me to rule out who was the author of the work, in what year it was inaugurated but I could not find this data, perhaps because I did not look hard enough or because it is possible that it is very difficult to obtain this information.
If you are from Buenos Aires and know more information about it, I would love to know this information.

Estuve además buscando algo de información referente al escultor porque me parece relevante descartar quien fué el autor de la obra, en qué año se inauguró pero no pude encontrar estos datos, quizás porque no busqué lo suficiente o porque es posible que sea muy difícil obtener esa información.
Si eres de Buenos Aires y conoces más información al respecto me encantaría conocer esos datos.
