Freestyle Motocross (FMX) - Buenos Aires Extrema.
Freestyle Motocross (FMX)
Greetings, friends. Today I want to share with you some photos from a festival called Buenos Aires Extrema.
Summer is almost here, and with it comes so many activities that it's impossible to remember or keep track of them all. This is a festival I didn't know about and only discovered this year when I had the opportunity to attend.
It's a fairly large festival with lots of outdoor activities, located on the Costanera Norte, near Jorge Newbery Airport. It's an important event, with lots of physical activities, competitions, live music, and a nice place to spend time with family, have a picnic, clear your mind, and enjoy the weather of this season, spring-summer.

I'm going to start this post with some photos I took, focusing especially on a sport called Freestyle Motocross. It's a much more extreme sport than traditional motocross and supercross.
There are several differences, such as jumps and pirouettes. This sport is mainly based on these aspects, focusing on tricks and jumps and leaving speed aside.
Unlike traditional motocross, which is practiced in open spaces, where the most important thing is to maintain speed and whose main objective is the race to finish first or achieve a certain position in freestyle motocross, the competition is different.
As for supercross, the main difference is that it takes place in enclosed spaces, usually in stadiums. There, the obstacles are shorter, but even so, there are no spins, ramps, or special jumps like in freestyle motocross.

Something very curious about this show is that it served as a prelude between one band and another; a moment of distraction while the main band, which was also closing the festival, prepared their equipment, tuned their instruments, and set up the stage to go out and play.
It seemed to me that perhaps this show should have been one of the main events, with more time, preparation, and organization, as it was a truly impressive spectacle. It's crazy how skilled these pilots are at what they do in this type of sport.
The truth is that the whole audience went wild and focused their attention solely on that. I think that, deep down, it was what the organizers wanted from the beginning.
It was just great. I was there with a 70-300mm lens, which I found very suitable for this type of photography. The only drawback was that I wasn't that close and the speed at which they were moving was really very fast.

This is a type of photography that you won't see very often on my profile, but I'm happy to step out of my comfort zone and bring you something new, something unusual, and at the same time, interesting.
It's always a challenge to take photographs that don't belong to your style, where you don't feel completely comfortable. I think it's a way to grow, to feed yourself creatively, to acquire new knowledge, and to learn things you didn't used to do.
This is very important to me. I really liked the results, and today I want to share them with you.
I hope you have a nice day and that you enjoyed this set of Freestyle Motocross photos. If you liked any photo in particular, please let me know in the comments :)
