Botanical Garden - Monomad Challenge.

The botanical garden in the Palermo neighborhood is so attractive that it tends to evoke different emotions depending on your perspective: melancholy, loneliness, peace... This is what I feel and think when I see the results of this black and white series. A place to appreciate nothingness and everything at the same time, a place to be and not to be, to disappear and find yourself outside of what we call everyday “life” in the city.

Many people consider Buenos Aires to be something wonderful in the context of a modern city, with tall buildings, lots of lights, lots of nightlife, the city that never sleeps. Yes, that's true... but if it weren't for these green spaces, I think the inhabitants would collapse.

The best thing about this and other natural spaces is that they are right in front of the avenue, one of the busiest and with heavy traffic all day long, but when you get there, you walk for a few minutes and you are already immersed in absolute calm, and you may even be accompanied by birdsong. You can't camp there, but you can disconnect from all the noise of the city, ground yourself, hug a tree, meditate a little, and get in touch with reality, with who we are.

From a photographic point of view, I can say that I never tire of visiting the place because I don't do it just for the photography; I do it out of an inner need, and in addition to this, I get some interesting shots that I can share with you.

If you love plants, flowers, and gardens, this is also the place for you. At different points in the park, you can find important sculptures from significant periods that you can appreciate, just as you should appreciate the fact that this garden was designed by landscape architect Carlos Thays, as were the vast majority of the city's parks and gardens. Sometimes I wonder if there was no other landscape architect in the city at that time.

Anyway... This is the botanical garden in black and white, more minimalist, more somber, and more intimate. I hope you enjoyed this series, and I wish you a great weekend :)

I loved the photo of the bench; they're all good, but that one's my favorite. The space looks so lovely and relaxing. We have a similar one here, quite old since it dates back to the early 19th century, but very well preserved. Great post today, my friend.
