Tres Fronteras, is where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meets

The city of Puerto Iguazu is located in the north eastern corner of Argentina. In this city you will be able to get close to three countries at the same time. This is the border area between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. These countries are located at the junction where the Iguazu and Parana rivers meet. The vievpoint called Hito Tres Fronteras the place to go to. It's a park high above the rivers. When standing here, you are offered a great view of the rivers and the two neighbouring countries.

To get here we just walked a couple of kilometers from the city center. The place has an obelisk in the national colors of Argentina, benches and shops. Mostly sovenir shops. The view is amazing. Brazil and Paraguay has two cities close to the border as well. Foz do Iguazu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este ( Paraguay).

Paraguay

The main reason for most tourists to visit this Puerto Iguazu, is the Iguazu Falls. The falls are located on both sides of the river that makes up the border between Brazil and Argentina. Most people visit both sides, which means you gave to make sure to have a couple of days in Puerto Iguazu or Foz do Iguazu on the Brazilian side. Because I was here for four days, I had time to discover the city itself and go to this viewpoint.
