The staircase in La Croisette Shopping Mall (10 photos)

In Mauritius I live just a few minutes walk from the La Croisette Shopping Mall. I remember that the whole area was a sugarcane fields before the construction started. If I remember correctly, the shopping mall was completed in 2012. When I took the photos, I was standing in front of a wide staircase leading to the carpark and a few shops on the first level. It was late in the afternoon so I took the photos against the sun.

La Croisette has over 100 shops, restaurants and cafees. In addition there is a movie theater, sports club, bank, offices, hypermarket and a residential area. In the middle there is a large open space with a public esplandade, seating areas. Many events take place here. Last year I was here during a food festival. I believe it is an anuel event.

I've stood at the bottom of the stairs several times and watched people come and go up and down.
To me, this particular spot is one of the best places to just stand and people watch.
