STREET ART #233 – Colorful murals in Hals, Denmark

It was in September this year that I went for a walk in Hals, which is located at the mouth of the Limfjord into the Baltic Sea. Together with a sister, we went for a walk around the town, after we had taken a longer walk along the east coast. Our parents used to live here. It was therefore a somewhat nostalgic walk past the house they lived in, the church, Skansen and all the familiar places we remembered. The town has been supplemented by several shops, the harbor has a lot more restaurants than we remembered.

Another new discovery is the street art. The city is not big, so we probably took in most of what there is. We saw this beautiful wall when we drove into the town However, we went back to take a closer look at this colorful and detailed painting. Looks like a fairy tale world.

We also passed a couple of others on our way back to the parking lot. We don't know if there are more, but we were surprised that there is so much here after all. Hals is a popular seaside resort in the summer. What we noticed is that there are many art galleries and pottery workshops. It therefore looks like quite a few artists have settled here. It was great to be back though.
