STREET ART #231 – The lastest in Aalborg, Denmark
It's always nice to come to Aalborg and discover new amazing paintings. The dancing couple is the latest and most recent addition to Aalborg's street art. The latter is older, but I'm not sure when it was painted. Both are within walking distance of each other. The first photo shows a mural close to the railway. I have passed it before, so I think it has been around for a couple of years.
«Dansen» / «The Dance»KIRK Gallery in Aalborg project Out in the Open is behind this project. It's located in the city center. The title is "Dansen" or The Dance. The artist is the renowed Spanish street artist Sabotaje al Montaje. The artist har created this work in collaboration with Diversity committee and a housing association. Diversity is the central theme. The artist is portraying a dacing couple. The dance is a social event that symbolizes inclusion and community. About this work, the artist says that it is "a cultural and social event, which celebrates the union between cultures and human expression."
For more than 20 years, Sabotaje al Montaje has set his mark on the street art scene. His wall paintings are detailed and expressive.
A well-known artist in Aalborg is NADA, aka Frida Stiil Vium. She is a Danish street artist who established «Project NADA» in 2014. Ever since, she has done several colorful murals in Aalborg. I have already been posting several photos of her work.
