STREET ART #230 – «End of The Line» street art festival 2025. Aalborg, Denmark

Last year in the end of August, Aalborg arranged a street art festival. «End Of The Line» is the largest street art festival in Denmark. At least so far. Last year it was arranged for the very first time, but with a promise of making it an anuel event. The second street art festival have been taken place in Aalborg. This was arranged in the end of August this year. But just like last year, I vas too late in going to Aaborg to be able to see the artist at work.

Last year the geographical places where the festival took place, divided between two places in the city. One of the places was Karolinelund. A park where street artists are active the whole year. This year the only place was Karolinelund.

The artist behind these two is Burnon. A very active, local artist from Aalborg. In Karolinelund I allways see his works. He is definitive one of my favourite artists in Aalborg.

My sister, who took me on a trip to Karolinelund, told me that on the last day of the festival, most of the murals were removed. They had been painted on wooden, installed walls that are removeable.
The ones that are still here are painted on the walls that are permanently installed and in fixed places in the park. These are freely available to artists all year round. The ones that I have photographed were painted during the festival and are on the permanently installed walls. There were lots more, but at least I got to see some of the works.

Next year I will make sure to spend time in Aalborg at the time of the festival.
