STREET ART #221 – Art around a sports field, Kristiansand, Norway

One fine summer day in July I took a long walk to Justneshalvøya on the outskirts of Kristiansand. I ended up going a little too far, but when I saw the football field I took the time to walk down to it, before turning around and walking back. From the road I saw that there was painted artwork along part of the fence. Some children were playing football. But I was able to walk along the fence. By checking the names of the artists, I noticed some of them are known to me. I don't know who a couple of the are. I found out that this was Justvikbanen, one out of many sports fields in Kristiansand.

I think this tiger is absolutely beautiful. It seems it is signed @Art_by_Fredriko. Seems the artist is Norwegian, from Haugesund.

This little panda is painted by @crookedoctopuss, an artist who has painted many murals and graffiti in Kristiansand.

Then I turn to the next part of the fence. The artist is unknown to me. But the two whales are beautifully painted. Animals typical of Norway are painted in different colors an hidden within the whales. There is both forrest and sea visible in the painting. Between the whales there are football players ( I think that's what they are...) standing on the water. The one in yellow must be the keeper... That's my guess!

I did return to the crossroad where I made a mistake about which road to choose to get to the forrest I was supposed to go to. But, I am glad I went a little to far. Otherwise this I would never have discovered these paintings. I have never been to Justvikbanen before.
