STREET ART #210 – Some more urban art in Port Louis, Mauritius

There isn't too much new in Port Louis this year. I have been to the city many times already, but haven't noticed much yet. These paintings are found different places in the city. When I was here in 2021 and 2022 there were lots of new murals. I think the artists were much more productive during Covid-19. Seems they are taking a break. At least in the city, as I have found quite a lot in other places on the island.

The bird is very small. The size is only approx. 40 x 30 cm. The artist signature is «JJP». This artist has painted several different looking birds around town. ( they have already been posted some time ago ). I think this is the fourth bird that I discover. All them by accident, because of the size. There might be more.

I found these photos I took some years ago. These pots with plants and palmtree are placed at the Le Caudan Waterfront. This is a shopping complex by the harbour front. Caudan has not only upmarked shops and souvenir stalls, but also restaurants and cafes. The location by the harbor front is perfect, as there is usually a breeze to cool you down.

I took this photo a couple of years ago. It's painted in a parking lot in the northern end of the city. The parking lots in Port Louis have guards at the entrance. Most of them have fences and the guard will have to open. To get in there ( like several other parking lots) I had to ask for permistion. Even there isn't much new in the city center, I do enjoy the city's street art. It's always a pleasure to see that all the many beautiful murals are still here. Of course, I have a few favorites. Each time I come, I check if they are still here.
