STREET ART #207 – Urban art in the center of Mauritius

This time when I am in Mauritius, I have more time and have travelled more around. The new metro that runs between the capital Port Louis and the second largest city Curepipe, makes this so easy. This time I have come across a couple of great art when I was in Floreal.

This beautiful mural depicted a local inhabitant on Mauritius. A happy looking man on one side and landscape that is common on the island on the other. It's located along the main street so it was not so easy to miss. Wonderful choice of warm colors.

A little north of Floreal along the main road that connects all the towns in the center of the island, I passed this painting close to the metro. It was impossible to get a good angle. Cars kept comming and I tryed to stay where the tracks are, but had to keep looking out for the train to come. The woman and the bird is painted in both ends on the concrete wall. The wall was a bit worn. But I didn't see that before I was standing close to it. Still, I think it's a good painting.
