STREET ART #152 - A suitable theme for the house of veterans from the Armed Forces, Denmark

This house is the called the "Veteranshjem" which means "veteran home / home of the veterans". It's located close to the city centre of Aalborg, Denmark. I have passed it several times, since it's on the way to where one of my sisters live. I just haven't taken any photos before in August last year.

As you can see of the motives on the wall, this home / house is a place for former soldiers to meet each other. The purpose of this place is to create a place where these veterans can socialize and preserve the friendships they have made while in the Armed Forces. Those who stay here are not able to get any treatment, and they cannot make it a permanent place of residence.

«Veteranhjem» here in Aalborg does offer some free space from a life that might be full of problems, including practical help. The main reason for called it «home», is to make it a place to feel safe, get help if needed, get a break from whatever challenges everyday life presents. They are there for each other.
