PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography #35 : Walking the streets of Udaipur

Udaipur is one of the larger cities in Rajasthan, India, and is considered one of the most romantic cities in India. That was also my opinion. It’s a lovely place to explore the amazing City Palace, temples, history, architecture etc. When I was in India, I was travelling from east to west in northern India, Udaipur was the last city I was visiting, before returning to New Delhi. The city is beautiful, with fantastic palaces, traditional houses, narrow streets and temples. Lake Pichola is one of the best places to enjoy the view of the city. It’s possible to stay in a luxury hotel on the lake or just take a boat ride and look at the city and the city palaces from a different perspective. There are several bathing ghats, where there were people all the time. Walking the narrow streets, was also a good way of being able to experience local life. First photo is my entry to @photofeed contest https://ecency.com/hive-153349/@photofeed/photofeed-contest-street-photography-round-35

I spend several days in Udaipur and the first night at the hotel located in part of the City Palace. This was expensice and the reason it was only one night. But it was an amazing experience. It felt as being back in time of the Maharajas. The view of the lake is awesome. So is the architecture. Besides visiting the City Palace Museum, some of the temples, museums and Havelis (traditional houses) it was also a wonderful experience to walk to the lake and sit by the shore.
