Landscape Photography : Acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar

avatar

When doing high altitude treks, it is necessary to take a day or two to acclimatize. That's what I did in Nepal, when I was doing the Everest Base Camp trek. This first place to stay two days was Namche Bazaar. This village is located on 3.440 m. Above sea level and is the largest «town» in the region. It's the place to buy trekking equipment if you find out you have forgotten something. On the day of acclimatizing we went on a hike with a view to some of the highest mountains in the world. Lhotse, Ama Dablam, but we didn't see Mt. Everest yet.
