Behold My Birthday Presents

Do you know what gifts mean to me??? It means someone cares about me, loves me, thought about me and decided to show me a bit of how much they do. I love gifts! It's one of my most valued love language.

I turned a new age last month and as I said earlier in my previous birthday post, I wasn't feeling enthusiastic about it at all. I have moved past it now and I'll say I didn't have so much of a bad birthday, I just wasn't feeling the expected delight that comes on birthdays.

One remarkable thing that happened to me on my birthday is that someone went all out for me. Someone I love so much gave me the biggest birthday surprise. It's really not easy to move from being a teenager to an adult. A lot of things I used to do before, I knew I couldn't do them anymore. I don't know about other people but I really do adjust to stages, people and places. If I'm in a group of grown people, you won't see me act like a child or something to show that I'm the youngest there, I'll quickly switch up to the future adult in me😂. In the same way, I know that I'm an adult now and so the way I dress, speak, the things I do has got to change too.

So I got a few presents from my brother, his friends and my friend. These presents to me carried the message "welcome to adulthood". I'm going to be sharing a few of the gifts which are the ones I loved most with y'all. I'll start with the sandal heels. I think this is the first box I opened because it had the Zara tag on it. I was wowed when I saw the simple nude sandal heels in it. The size read 39 and I wear size 40 so I panicked that it won't fit but thankfully they did! To match my shoe, I got a simple flowered long gown that has a touch of nude in it. I tried it with my footwear and it fit perfectly.

Next gifts I loved so much were the bags. A black bag from the Yves Saint Laurent brand and the blue bag was my favourite! I am a huge fan of Louis Vuitton products so this particular bag was everything! I loved the colour but it's just sad that I do not have a matching outfit for it just yet.

I bought myself these black cover shoes. Over here it's called boyfriend shoes and I don't know how that name came about😂. I wanted something different from the usual flat shoes I've been wearing. I thought it's okay to try something new. I think this shoe will go better with a short flay gown. I'm really looking forward to rocking this one.

Since I now have new bags added to my old collection of bags, all that I needed were dresses. I came home with a few clothings due to the strike with the hope that it would be called off soon but the strike has persisted for 6 months so far and we're still counting. For this reason, I had run out of clothes to put on. If I have a little sit out with friends or dates, I really have nothing to wear. I've been too lazy to shop for new clothes too knowing how expensive things have gotten. I kept whining about my lack of clothes to a friend and she surprised me with a dress as my birthday present.💃💃💃 This was a late birthday present but who cares??? I was confused on which dress to pick, the yellow turtle neck fitted gown or the pink one. My friend loved the yellow dress more but I loved the pink. I don't like yellow colour but I'm dark in complexion so bright colours suit me better. Due to my dilemma, I picked both dresses. My friend paid for the one she loved and I paid for the other. Maybe I have bad eyesight, who knows?😛😛

Did I mention I got a credit alert??? Y'all don't want to know how much. I think I have shared enough. Apart from these, I received heartfelt messages from good friends and this was like a perfect birthday for me despite how I felt that day. I have a few more gifts coming but this is all I can share right now. It's not too late to add yours, I'm still receiving gifts! As a matter of fact, I feel happier right now so I might just be celebrating this birthday soon.🤷🏾‍♀️💃💃
