Ever since I was a little boy, I have been passionate about men's football. I loved watching the players give their all on the pitch, showing their talent, grit and team spirit. However, I recently discovered women's football thanks to some friends who casually invited me to watch a match some time ago. And what I saw and discovered that day was simply fascinating. I was able to appreciate how some players had such an impressive and motivating story of self-improvement, as well as a spectacular way of playing that reflected so much aggression and passion, even more than men's football. This and much more was why I couldn't help but be instantly hooked.

As time went by, I gradually got into the world of football. But it started to be frustrating for me how difficult it could be to watch these games, as they were not broadcasted on almost any TV platform and it was very difficult to find them on the internet. Then I understood the lack of visibility and recognition that these teams had in comparison to the men's team. I felt that there was a huge injustice and a huge gender gap in the world of sport and I had never noticed it.

So when I had the opportunity to work on a podcast called "Referentes", I didn't hesitate for a second. It was a project that sought to give a voice to women's football, interviewing players, coaches, referees and other professionals in the sector. We wanted to show the reality and challenges faced by women in the sport, as well as to celebrate their achievements and their stories.

It was a spectacular and enriching experience. I learned so much from each of the guests, who inspired me with their passion, courage and perseverance. I also enjoyed sharing with my teammates, who shared my vision and values. Together we created a space for debate, reflection and entertainment, where women's football was the protagonist.

Working at Referentes was one of the best experiences. I am proud to have been part of this podcast, which I believe has contributed to making women's football visible and vindicating it. I hope it has served to inspire and motivate others, especially girls and young women who dream of playing football. Because football belongs to everyone, and women deserve the same respect and support as men.

Desde que era pequeño me apasionaba el fútbol masculino. Me encantaba ver a los jugadores darlo todo en el campo, demostrando su talento, su garra y su espíritu de equipo. Sin embargo, hace poco descubrí el futbol femenino gracias a unas amigas que me invitaron casualmente a ver un partido hace algún tiempo. Y lo que vi y descubrí ese día me pareció simplemente algo fascinante. Logre apreciar como algunas jugadoras que tenían una historia de superación personal tan impresionante y motivadora, además de la forma tan espectacular de jugar que reflejaba tanta agresividad y pasión, incluso más que el futbol masculino. Por esto y mucho mas fue como no pude evitar quedar enganchado al instante.

Con el tiempo me fui introduciendo poco a poco en este mundillo. Pero empezó a ser frustrante para mí lo difícil que podía ser ver estos partidos, ya que no se transmitían en casi ninguna plataforma de televisión y resultaba muy difícil encontrarlas por internet. Entonces comprendí la falta de visibilidad y reconocimiento que tenían estos equipos en comparación con el de los hombres. Sentía que había una gran injusticia y una enorme brecha de género en el mundo del deporte y nunca me había notado.

Por eso, cuando tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en un podcast llamado “Referentes”, no lo dudé ni un segundo. Se trataba de un proyecto que buscaba dar voz y difusión al fútbol femenino, entrevistando a jugadoras, entrenadoras, árbitras y otras profesionales del sector. Queríamos mostrar la realidad y los desafíos que enfrentaban las mujeres en este deporte, así como celebrar sus logros y sus historias.

Fue una experiencia espectacular y enriquecedora. Aprendí muchísimo de cada una de las invitadas, que me inspiraron con su pasión, su valentía y su perseverancia. También disfruté de compartir con mis compañeros y compañeras de equipo, que compartían mi misma visión y mis mismos valores. Juntos creamos un espacio de debate, de reflexión y de entretenimiento, donde el fútbol femenino era el protagonista.

Trabajar en Referentes fue una de las mejores experiencias. Me siento orgulloso de haber formado parte de este podcast, que creo que ha contribuido a visibilizar y a reivindicar el fútbol femenino. Espero que haya servido para inspirar y motivar a otras personas, especialmente a las niñas y jóvenes que sueñan con jugar al fútbol. Porque el fútbol es de todos y todas, y las mujeres merecen el mismo respeto y el mismo apoyo que los hombres.
