ROCKS and BEACH [EN-IT]

Here I am with the last part of the photos dedicated to my trip to Malta. In the one on the cover you can see one of the most beautiful beaches on the island as far as I was told, called Mellieha Beach, which is actually on the opposite side from that one, which was practically deserted as it was more difficult to walk to.

There are not many beaches with sand and the few that are found are quite coveted, in fact it was packed with people. The second photo, the one above, is a landscape I found not far from the beach.

Let's move now to the Capital, Valletta, the view of the lighthouse and the entrance to the bay from the War Museum, very interesting by the way, we spent a couple of hours there and it literally flew by, very interesting to learn a little bit more about the history of the Maltese people.

A zoom on the lighthouse, very well protected in the past, especially by the cannons they used to shoot down enemy ships, which I also did not photograph because they were arrayed inside for purely aesthetic purposes, beautiful but nothing exceptional to photograph.

One sculpture that struck me instead was this one, where I felt compelled to be a bit of a dork in that it reminded me of the Spartans and the movie 300, to which the "motto" HODL is often paired in the Crypto field.

Back to Mellieha, you can't imagine how windy it was on this high ground, I was almost struggling to keep my phone straight to get the shots.

The rocks are one of the things that impressed me the most, all layered, some very smooth, very peculiar, different from what I'm used to seeing usually, they give a bit of a sense of fragility and that they must give way at any moment, not very comforting the whole thing but probably just a figment of my imagination.

We close the adventure with this curious excavation in the rock, in quite isolated place, it seemed man-made, I doubt that in nature you can find something like that. my impression is that it was precisely excavated, but I don't know for sure. I will leave you for now, that's all from Malta, although I may return in the future, stay tuned!

Eccomi con l'ultima parte delle foto dedicate al mio viaggio a Malta. In quella di copertina potete vedere una delle spiagge più belle dell'isola a quanto mi hanno detto, chiamata Mellieha Beach, che in realtà è dalla parte opposta a quella, che era praticamente deserta in quanto più difficile da raggiungere a piedi.

Non ci sono molte spiagge con la sabbia e le poche che si trovano sono abbastanza ambite, difatti era piena di gente. La seconda foto, quella qui sopra, è un paesaggio che ho trovato poco lontano dalla spiaggia.

Spostiamoci ora nella Capitale, La Valletta, la visuale del faro e dell'entrata nella baia dal Museo della Guerra, molto interessante tra l'altro, ci abbiamo passato un paio d'ore e sono letteralmente volate, molto interessante conoscere un po' meglio la storia del popolo maltese.

Uno zoom sul faro, molto ben protetto in passato, soprattutto dai cannoni che utilizzavano per abbattere le navi nemiche, che non ho fotografato anche perché erano messi a schiera all'interno per puro scopo estetico, belli ma niente di eccezionale da fotografare.

Una scultura che mi ha colpito invece è questa, dove mi sono sentito in dovere di fare un po' il pirla in quanto mi ricordava gli spartani e il film 300, al quale viene abbinato spesso nel campo Crypto il "motto" HODL.

Torniamo a Mellieha, non potete immaginare quanto vento ci fosse su questa altura, facevo quasi fatica a tener dritto il telefono per fare gli scatti.

Le rocce sono una delle cose che mi hanno colpito maggiormente, tutte a strati, alcune liscissime, molto particolari, diverse da quelle che sono abituato a vedere solitamente, danno un po' il senso di fragilità e che debbano cedere da un momento all'altro, non molto confortante il tutto ma probabilmente soltanto frutto della mia fantasia.

Chiudiamo l'avventura con questo curioso scavo nella roccia, in posto abbastanza isolato, sembrava fatto dall'uomo, dubito che in natura si possa trovare qualcosa del genere. la mia impressione è che sia stato appunto scavato, ma non ne ho la certezza. Per ora vi lascio, da Malta è tutto, anche se in futuro potrei ritornare, rimanete sintonizzati!
