Meeting among the wonders of Cappadocia
Hi, dear readers, after a long break, I want to share with you a wonderful memory. My friends, who have been in Europe for a long time, came to Turkey, to Kemer, again. I really wanted to see them, but due to my personal circumstances, I now live in a village, near Malatya. The climate here is harsh, it is very cold in winter. And it is almost 1000 km distance between our cities. But to my joy, they went to Cappadocia for the New Year, where we met. It was a wonderful time! Thank you @bugavi @olga.maslievich @darine.darine. The next day we went to explore Cappadocia by car, it was a fun and adventurous trip. Discovering places that I have not seen before fascinates me. We drove to the small tourist town of Avanos near the city of Nevsehir, among amazing clay snow-white mountains that looked like giant mushrooms. This unique nature of Cappadocia attracts many tourists. In ancient times, houses, monasteries, and churches were built in these rocks.
First, we decided to visit the so-called Valley of Love, which is located in a gorge near the ancient city of Uchisar
We drove up to the very cliff and looked at this miracle from above. At sunset, you can take interesting photos, where these giant rock formations look like gold against the blue sky!
There are excursions when you can go down into this gorge and walk next to giant phalluses. This is the shape of the rocks that stand here. That is why the valley has such a name!
Uchisar Castle is located within the Uchisar district of Nevşehir province. It is a castle formed by natural formations of steep rocks on a high hill, 6 km from the central district.
The clearest information about the settlement of Uçhisar Castle dates back to the Roman and Byzantine periods, but in some research articles, it is thought that the construction date for the use of the castle may have been between the 4th and 1st centuries BC. The period when the castle, which has survived from ancient times to the present day, was used most intensively is the mid-17th century AD, when it was used by Christian monks and it is thought to have been used for defensive purposes from the later period to the present day.
Later we went to Göreme National Park in the Nevşehir district. Here we walked among the amazing remains of a monastery and monks' houses made in the rocks. Everything looked mystical, the air smelled of history... As one of the most important open-air museums not only in our country but also in the world, the Göreme Open-Air Museum is famous for its Byzantine rock churches and frescoes. This historical site was built in the 4th century and is of great importance in terms of Christian history. The Tokala Church, Elmala Church, Saint Barbara Chapel, Yilanli Church and Karanlık Church are among the most important structures of the museum. The discovery of this place is a miracle! Everyone should come and see this beauty. There were people from all countries here. They traveled on horses, ATVs and quad bikes, but we decided to walk. I took some great photos for you. Even if you are not here, I would be very happy if I could share this excitement with you at least a little. We tried to visit all the historical places in the area. If you love history, this trip will be great for you.
We had some adrenaline-filled moments with @darine.darine. We climbed the rock together where there were rooms, it was a little dangerous, but I was there to help her overcome her fear!
I wanted to teach him that he should always face his fears bravely, that he can never live with fears. Because fear destroys people. Fear enslaves people... Never allow that, you must always fight your fears...
We had a really fun and interesting time. She and I are very similar, we love extreme and risky adventures!
I was very happy to celebrate the New Year with the people I love in such a fascinating historical place! I invited them to visit my village, and a few months later they were able to travel again and came to my house with my elderly grandmother, whom I am currently taking care of. I was happy to show them our mountains and share our lives. The girls really love to explore the real life and traditions of Turkey. So I think: soon they will tell you about their impressions.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my article. I am so excited to be back here with new adventures and share these wonderful memories with you!

I love the shots and the rock formations as well. That itself shows a brief history, culture, and beauty of Cappadocia. It will be great to be added on the bucket list to travel. Is there an entrance fee upon visiting? Or is it free for all tourist out there?
Some places are paid museums, but most places are free. It was a fun trip. You should definitely go and explore. Have a nice day.
We've been there together with the author of this post, and I can answer your question. Exactly this place is not paid. You can freely visit it without paying, enjoy the views, climb every cave you see. It was really fun climbing those hills!
