Mirrors & Reflections From The Artificial Lake

Another week, another new challenge. Here on Asean Hive Community we have a weekly challenge and they are unique from time to time. For this week, we have a photography challenge, and the specific theme is Mirrors and Reflections.

I prefer to call it a challenge rather than a contest. A contest only has one winners, or a few other participants who get some rewards. For a Challenge, everyone are the winner. So I encourage you all to take a participation here.

Honestly I am a bit off with the theme of Reflections. I used to post in Shadow hunter community, which every week we shared our reflection pictures. They still have it but I am no longer into that event anymore.

So let's get back to our main topic here, what do I have for you guys?

This shot is my entry for this challenge. It is an artificial lake and I take some participation in building that lake. In that picture there are my works there, and yes I am in the construction industry anyway. I can not specify which one, but for you who often talk to me in some discord server, you have already known which one.

The job is not finished yet, I have two months to go and sadly I am running out of resource due to late payment from some clients. Not them anyway, the other clients.

To be honest, the lake is not clear anyway. We haven't had the pump and filtration running, so they are a dark and muddy. Our workers have thrown some fishes there, so later in night they are having a free fishing activities.

Even the lake is not clear, I think you guys can see a good mirroring or reflection there.

Other Pictures

The first one is these apartment buildings. Initially I want to use this picture as the main entry. However the reflection is not clear, it is not due to my cheap phone camera, but it is more due to the water condition. I have said this several times, it is muddy and far from being clear.

You still can get mirror effect but you can not expect for a good detail anyway. So I have to forfeit this one.

This is the second one, the left side. It shows more buildings but unfortunately less reflection from the lake. I need to climb up to one of the shophouses there, but I feel like I have to avoid that.

During construction, people store their tools and expensive materials on shophouses which still under construction. If I enter those shophouses and climb to the roof, it is not wrong or prohibited anyway. They know me well and I often wonder around in that area.

However shophouses are not my projects and out from my scope of work. If I come there and somehow someone lose something or there are some thief in actions, I will be the prime suspect there.

This is the last one, the right side area. This is another version of the main entry, when I took this one, the lighting was bad so I had to retake again and the retake one is the main entry of this post.

Those shophouses are the one that I have talked about. I could climb to their second storey or their roof, and take more pictures from there. The reflection should be better and it is a great point of view for the left side area.

However today my acquaintance is not there so I prefer not to come in to any shophouses.
