Views from Bali Hive Meetup - Enjoy the sunset

A meetup at the beach

From a funny idea to a real meeting. This was #HiveMeetupBali No.3.

It was small but lovely and intensely. We talked 2.5 hours.

Hey Hive Family
let us travel the world again
and meet great people

Yes, a big Hive banner at the Bali beach

The lovely @coolsurfer organized a huge banner the day before the event and made the company printing it overnight and delivered to my hotel. Kudos for this.

We had some coconut as drinks as we don’t have any alc at this kind of meetups. Detlev has to get his sunset beer later.

Hivians and presents

For my long trip to Bali I added one of the Hive shirts from the Web3 Event from Berlin to my limited luggage. At the meetup this changed the owner and now @putu300 has this for his talks about Hive here in Bali. I guess he enjoys it a lot.

Topics

We talked a lot about how to get more people from Indonesia to Hive. The was a main concern because the language barrier as many Indonesian may speak English but are not good in writing.

With latest language technology, writing by speech to text, we discussed a solution.

Even better, people may write in local language and use translation services to create a bi-lingual post.

This just need to be explained as everyone has all this technology already on his mobile phone.

See @putu300 in long discussion with @detlev

Where did we meet

The location is visible on the #Pinmapple Link in the comments.

Building up the banner

As most of this meetup was spontaneous, we picked as well the place at the beach in front of the HardRock Hotel just by going there. Tho owner Duta was very helpful and came with some rope and even some bamboo sticks to build it up.

More topics

We had a long talk about the games on Hive. Sure, Splinterlands was a discussion but as well dCity and Cryptobrewmaster. New games like terracore and Golemmancer where discussed. There we chatted about the different game play, the time you have to invest and the ability to earn on that different games.

Sunset time

This area of Bali is known for all the strange waves for surfing and as well for the wonderful sunsets.

See this one and and enjoy

Final thoughts

Even with little amount of people we showed what a meetup could look like. Most important new connections are made and new ideas are exchanged.

We where @putu300 @coolsurfer @charly.travels @sunsea and @detlev and a lot of sand, some coconuts and such a
lovely sunset.

Thanks to @valueplan and @guiltyparties and @crimsonclad for the helping hand upfront of this event.

Have a great day everybody
and let us travel the world again

Seems like Hive meetup in Bali had a great atmosphere. As I understand from the photographs, people came together while enjoying a pleasant sunset on beach. Such events foster a sense of closeness among people and provide a platform for establishing new connections and facilitating the exchange of ideas. The sincere smiles and happy memories of the participants reflect the community's interest in each other. Hive meetup in Bali seems like an unforgettable experience. I wish to attend in future one of it!

Or even better, ask me how to setup something wherever you are hanging out.

And yes, it was cool.

Even a small meetup is worth having. It's cool that you had a banner.

I think Hive should be active in all languages. We can use translation tools to read any of it these days and perhaps that could be built into some front ends.

Enjoy the beach.

wow... It's a great meeting that you had, I think having an event like this will really help the hives to exchange quality ideas.
I was very surprised to see that there was a big banner that said HIVE
You pair it on the beach while watching the sunset.

I guess you can easily do a meetup in your area. Just invite a few people to a nice place and get it going.

It is all about learning and people.

Well, I’m basically new here, but with time I would get to adapt to this environment and make new friends to help with that☺️☺️

I am happy when I see that these meetings of the Hivians take place.
It is a very good opportunity to socialize even more, to exchange opinions, but unfortunately for me it is quite difficult to reach them from here in Romania.
I have not heard so far that such meetings take place anywhere in Romania.

Yes, I don’t know any Meetups in Romania.

We maybe have to do one at the castle from Vlad. ;-)
